I guess we know why ESPN doesn't ever run the story. Because ESPN has more than a few UNC graduates as employees. But why doesn't Fox, USA Today, and CBS Sports ever talk about it?

This could get very ugly for UNC! With the Miami scandal and this the NCAA is going to be very busy!

the work that the NC State kid did in blowing this open is fabulous. Where was their local media and the national media in all this? You know LHL wouldn't let that go here.

And to think, John Swafford (current ACC Comm, and former UNC AD during 90's and early '00s) basically told WVU that they wouldn't be offered membership in the ACC because they didn't meet the academic standards. Now only if this was happening in Durham. Though I doubt anything comes of it (academically speaking), I think the university should lose its AAU (Assoc of American Universities) membership.

This makes the academic scandal at Florida State look like child's play.

Sorry, Folks. But, as awesome as it would be to watch the hammer fall onto UNC, I just don't see it happening.

Since the inception of big TV contracts for broadcast rights (What I like to call the modern era of college sports), the NCAA has already shown its hand when it comes to investigating schools that possess championships (Like, say Duke/Cory Maggette). THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING.

I hope someone investigates the classes in question further. I wonder if the 'regular students' that were in these classes even exist or if they made up some names and put in the classes to make it look like regular students were in these classes also.

The NCAA would love nothing more than to have something like this come up about UK...I trully doubt seriously if they'd defer it to the institution if that were the case...What a joke the NCAA has become...It's all about the money and nothing about school integrity unless it suits there purpose... another thing, if this happened at say Troy St where Big revenue contracts aren't at stake, they'd throw the gauntlet down and make it out to be an integrity issue and pat themselves on the back for making an example of them... The NCAA reminds me of how Phil Fulmer used to handle student athletes that got in trouble... If they were star players, they'd sit out a game or 2 against the weak sisters of the world but if it were a 3rd stringer that could easily be replaced and he did exactly the same thing as the star player or not even as bad a thing, he'd throw him off the team and thump his chest about how UT was above all this and they wouldn't stand for it...a complete joke..

The Charlotte News-Observer's Dane Kane just tweeted that the UNC chancellor announces auditing firm, former Gov. Martin, to dig into academic fraud, has power to look into the years prior to 2007.
