Per John Calipari's latest tweet.
@UKCoachCalipari We'll have 2 coaches for the teams & tonight I'm letting the #BBN know first that @Drake will be back in @Rupp_Arena as one of the coaches.
Maybe that's why he got a championship ring

Just something thats been on my mind since last yr when all the talk about Tee wanting to change the music at CWS.
If Drake and Jay-Z are truly huge UK fans why havent we asked them to come up with something just for UK to play at the games like something to run out to and big times of the game?
Cant tell me recruits wouldnt like that.

It's a great thought. You never know. That would take a lot of time and resources. Is Jay-Z a UK fan? I thought he was just stopping by.
Also, Coach Cal is great at what he does.

Well, considering Jay-Z comes up with everything off the top of his head then it should approximately take him 3 minutes or so for him to make that song. Plus the song the bball team came out to this year, Jay-Z song, the first couple of verses are about his trip to the UK locker room after the UK/UNC Elite Eight game.

It won't matter to a lot of the Big Blue Nation. It does matter to the 17 and 18 year olds that UK is recruiting. If that helps us get better players, then we win more games. If we win more, then THAT means something to UK basketball fans. So, in short, maybe he should mean something to you. ;)

it's not hypersensitivity. band wagon fans suck ass. bad. If you root for Kentucky, root for Kentucky. fans of only one sport at a university, and then like other schools for other sports, are the worst fans in the world. I have no use for them.

I can see your point to a degree. Some people are basketball people. Some people are football people. Some people are both. If he was actively supporting a different University's football program, then yea, bandwagon. I don't see any harm in rooting for just basketball if you have no interest in football though.

By the way, I was once one of those fans, rooting for UK in basketball and Michigan in football. I disgust myself for it. I guess that makes me a hippocrit, but I want to see people like that get fixed.

If Drake, Jay-Z, or Lebron even want to pretend like they give a crap about UK basketball and don't acknowledge the existence of any other program at the University you take it all day long. Their fan ship doesn't mean shit, but their name associated with the program is a big deal to recruits and positive attention by the media.
