  • And here's the full list of former DLeague guys currently in the NBA and how they're doing.

  • I agree Royce White may have been a waste of a draft pick but I feel bad for him anyway.

  • If you look at the DLeague alum list you'll notice that Houston has the most DLeague alums of any team on their roster with 8. One reason is they have a proactive GM in Daryl Morey who is more willing to send his younger guys who aren't getting minutes time to develop. Marcus Morris, Donatas Montejunas, Greg Smith etc. were all sent down by Houston because of their huge collection of forwards.

Royce White seems like a lost cause don't think he's even reported to Houston yet.

I submit to your superior knowledge of the NBA and the use of the D-League by the Rockets in developing their young players. I want TJ to come back and play like a guy possessed and have a long and prosperous carreer. When TJ played at UK and he played with abandon I really enjoyed seeing the kind of player I think he can be and I think the same thing about Poythress. He can litterally take over a game when he is in the proper frame of mind and if he gets to the point where he stays in that mental state, then the skies the limit for him and his teammates.

  • This is becoming commonplace. You draft the best player available regardless of position and whether or not you are stacked at that position then you develop that play through the D League then you've got plenty of assets to make deals for future picks and in free agency. But this assures you've always got young assets. Very smart business by the Rockets. They basically did the same thing with PPat. Pat be looking for a bigger contract soon and they'll have TJ that they can pay less money. And Pat can move on to some team that will pay him more.

  • Was not a mistake. He got drafted where he would be drafted after 1 year 2 years 3 years. That's all that matters. Draft slot and closer to 2nd contract. End of story. Not even remotely a mistake.
