So here's the situation for UK now: Must win 4 straight games (1 today, 2 Sunday, 1 Monday) to advance. Daunting, but not impossible; Goes without saying that UK starter Jerad Grundy (5-3, 3.95 ERA) must deliver start of his life today to save taxed staff.

Kentucky's buzzard luck continuing early today, as Cameron Flynn stings a ball up middle that hits pitcher in foot and caroms directly to 1B; Zac Zellers walked with 1 out, stole 2B, moves to 3B on wild pitch. But McConkey flies out to LCF to end threat. B-2nd: UK 0, Valpo 0

The Cats inability to execute the 2-out RISP in the second half of the season -- and last night -- have killed them. Have to get the big hits.
