"Removing labels doesn't remove the reality. A playoff probably lessens access for the sport's unwashed. At least makes it more uncertain. That selection committee? Its composition will have to reflect that the Big East is no longer considered a BCS-level conference. The ACC has become less of a factor. That Big Four -- Pac-12, Big Ten, SEC, Big 12 -- are calling the shots. To be precise, the commissioners of those leagues are calling the shots." - Dennis Dodd (6-26-12)
Folks, Big East Football is officially irrelevent. It's done after 2013. If teams in that conference can't find their way to the Big 12 or MAYBE the ACC, they're essentially a D2 program in the new hierarchy of College Football. If you can't out recruit Big East programs now, you're in the wrong business.

JDH, you and I sometimes don't see things the same, but I appreciate your tweets about football revenue. That tweet from the K Fund kind gives you an idea of the "thinking" that occurs on UK's campus when it comes to football. I was so taken aback, that's why I never responded - could not believe they thought I was implying they should raise ticket prices...
