  • Joker Phillips will let us know for sure here shortly but probably not a good sign for Patrick Towles' injury that he's not on the depth chart.

  • By my quick math, that's a depth chart that features:

    13 true freshmen
    4 redshirt freshmen
    15 sophomores
    TOTAL = 32

    Seniors = 10

    32 out of 44 in the two deep. Crazy.

    Not really on the two-deep. Kentucky lists three at 9 positions. But still very, very young.

  • I'm still somewhat surprised that Mobley wasn't rotated in with George and Sanders this past game once we had to go to so much more of a running game on offense. I have no problem with the way George and Sanders have been running, but now that we have burned Mobley's RS, you would think they would rotate him in more when we have all but abandoned the spread passing game we were using earlier in the year with Max. If Williams was still playing, you can be damn sure we would be running those 3, so I don't see why we aren't doing the same with Mobley. RB is BY FAR the easiest position to transition to from H.S. when they are used primarily in the running game. The passing game and their assignments there are a different story.

    Good post. I still don't know why he didn't play?

  • I think Mobley still hasn't picked up on his pass blocking assignments.

    That's a recipe for disaster in the SEC, and we're seeing that. And, the combined records of UK's first six opponents is 26-2. So, UK is going to war against a very, very good group of teams with FR and SO. Regardless of their talent, that is not a fair fight, IMO. UK's next six opponents have a combined record of 20-14. UGa and Samford account for 10 of those wins. We could see a VERY different outcome against these next six teams.

    3 of the 6 we have played are Western Kent State and Louisville...you know this right? Louisville is completely overrated, Western is a team that should never be more than the 3rd best team in the state, and Kent State....Im not sure how they are Division 1.

    Terrible post in so many ways. UL while a little overrated is still a pretty damn good football team. I think WKU should always be # 3 in the state every year as well but they are a damn good football team this year! Hell they played Alabama better than pretty much anyone else this season. Your comment about Kent St. well iis just plain crazy. They are 4-1 and play D-1 ball. Need I explain more?

    What does that matter if he was rotated in almost entirely in the running game now that we have all but abandoned the spread passing game we were running with Max?

  • Tyler Robinson should be starting at TE. More productive. Don't understand it. Finally started Saturday but I see he is moved back to #2 position again.
