  • What specifically are you referring to?

  • With TE Robinson listed at #3, it better only be due to his back injury and that he is listed day to day. Robinson should have been the starter all year. May not be as quick as other TE, but what he does blocking should have more than earned him that spot. Fact is we seldom throw to our TE's and when we have thrown to Robinson, his hands have been pretty good. So with that, the best blocking TE should be getting the start and that clearly has not been the case.

  • Ligon all of a sudden at the #1 TE? headslap

We've had 13 catches for 101 yards from ALL of the TEs ALL year long. Does it really matter who we throw out there?

It does matter for the blocking scheme of things and that is why when Robinson is healthy he needs to be on the field and should have been the starter all year long. It is ridiculous! I swear this coaching staff needs to watch some NFL and watch how the QB's use their TE's nearly as much as their WR's. We waste this TE position.

  • But then again we have wasted the talents of a few other good players as well. If you're not one of the "good ole boys" you don't stand getting a fair shot. We have players making the same bone head mistakes game 9 as early on and still on the field. Yet others have been casted aside in a game or two, this year and last. It's complete BS out this coaching staff and they wonder why the junior and senior class is not productive. It starts with the coaching staff developing the talent of these players. It just doesn't happen unless your a chosen one. Look at our defense. A big deal was made out of the UofL game and heads rolled. McDuffen who was at Wil is now 3rd. Yet today Coach Smith is talking about how Dupree is not coming along as they hoped at learning that position and needs to step it up. Do ya all think that maybe if McDuffen was given a chance to get more than a half game under his belt he too would be getting much better like Williamson and Simpson? You don't just cast aside players that quickly. We all have bad days (IE bad games). Where is the players chance to redeem himself? Shoot look at all the bad calls and bad games Joker has had, yet he gets to keep coming back and getting a chance to redeem himself! Why don't he extended the same to the players. Let's be fair about it.

  • This is the best explanation of what is going on with our players that I have seen and you are exactly right! You have "nailed it"...a player has a bad game, or even a bad practice, and they are "cast aside" and never given an opportunity to redeem themselves. This is EXACTLY why the players are not developing like they need, and want, to. Well said 1003blue... :)

I can't say that I disagree with the sentiment of that post.
