**Joker says they will continue to expand Morgan Newton's role in the offense in other ways. Said he did tremendous job blocking for a guy who has never really had to do it. Said he did some route running in practice last week and will do more of it. Said they can find ways to get him on the field.**

I think the main reason they wish to have him both run the wildcat (or maybe just a QB draw or two) and run some other positions is so that from time to time they can put both him and Whitlow in (perhaps both in the backfield or Whitlow in motion) and have the defense not know in advance what is going to happen just because Whitlow is in the game.
