Good to hear and glad he doesnt have to go to a Juco or Prep. Like the story said, he is basically a gray shirt or since he was supposed to enroll in 2012 he is still like an early qualifier. We still get him before we could have.

I like the effort Daniel tried to make it here early. Work like that on the field and he could become a nice surprise.

Any reason given why he didn't get cleared ?? Strictly grades or another silly ncaa ruling ??

This is what I'm told from a source re: Daniel...

In essence, he was trying to finish as a junior so he's going back to take the needed classes to enroll in January.

But that is the plan. To have Daniel enroll in January.

I'll be surprised if this young man doesn't have to do a stint in JUCO before playing D1.

There are still rides open in the 2011 class, so Nile, and possibly 1 or 2 more, could enroll in January and count toward 2011. As for Daniel trying to graduate HS in 3 years, that is crazy!! I can see graduating 1 semester early, but an entire year? Wow!! Obviously, as he found out, that is no easy task. As an educator, I am surprised his HS supported him in this effort. Oh well. He's going to be a very good WR for UK. I hope he gets everything done this fall so he's good to go in January.

I thought with the new rule that he would be counted towards the 2011 class?????? I don't remember exactly, but there was a post with regard to that new rule awhile back on here.
