    A lot of people on Twitter starting to raise a fuss about Syracuse waiting until after Selection Sunday to announce this. Certainly can't fault them too much for protecting their own interests, but there's no way they are a No. 1 seed in this tournament without Melo.

    I look for the Vegas boys to break some legs in northern New York, soon.nono

    Sleazy move by Syracuse. i was looking forward to watching Ezeli and Melo slug it out in the battle of 40 year old college centers. They could have stopped at Golden Correl for the buffet after the game. Now it is all off.

  • 'Cuse wasn't making the Final 4, but the loss of Melo will certainly send the Orange home earlier. Not getting past Vandy or Wisconsin.

  • This is a really big deal. Cuse's zone is completely different without Melo patrolling the paint but I still think the Orange have the talent to make a decent run.

    But the bigger issue is that this just stinks to high heaven. All this at Syracuse and yet Calipari is still considered the Darth Vader of college basketball. You've heard hardly a peep about all the stuff going on at Syracuse including failed drug tests and potential academic fraud.

    It's not just Cal that they hate that causes it. We've always endured the worst from the media and opposing fans. Partly because we have always been so dominant, partly because we've cheated in the past, and partly because they have a negative view of this state as a whole.
