Everything he said was correct. Randolph is a Syracuse fan(may even be a booster) and he accompanied Noel on his visit to Syracuse as well. Good chance he was trying to steer Noel to Syracuse. Thamel doesn't mention any of this in either of his 2 articles when talking about Randolph. Jeff, you don't see anything wrong or weird about that? In my opinion his ties to Syracuse deserved at least a mention.

I agree but the Randolph ties are absolutely true, this is not the 1st time i've heard about his connection to Syracuse. I'm not saying anything illegal was happening but if you're going to mention that some low level runner has ties to CAA or Cal you should absolutely mention that one of Noel's handlers(and a big part of the story) has some serious ties to one of the Universities that was considered a favorite at one point to land Noel.....and oh by the way that University also happens to be Pete Thamel's alma mater. For the record, I don't care about Randolph or who he has ties with but it's only fair to at least make a mention of it in your article.

I'm not a conspiracy theory guy by any stretch but Bledsoe, Kanter, Davis and now Noel have all been "investigated" personally by Thamel. Just makes you wonder.

Was he part of the Davis thing? I had forgotten about that.

The sad thing is, if you keep looking hard enough at every player you will be right once out of a 100 players. with that being said, I hope this is not one of those times.
The other sad thing is, you can say anything these days and be wrong every time and yet nothing happens to you.
