Five reasons UK hoops might "struggle"

  • From one of our content partners.

    Agree? Disagree?

Kentucky Wildcats Basketball may struggle in 2012-13

Kentucky is favored by some to repeat as the National Champions of mens college basketball. There are reasons to think it may not happen, though.

How is it possible to even take that article seriously when there's no mention of Nerlens Noel? It loses all credibility when the nations #1 recruit is left out of the equation(s). SMDH

    The writer should be embarrassed.

  • I have to say the comparisons to last year's team isn't quite fair. He is basing his article on the '12 champs and not on their competition for this year. I think everybody realizes that expecting the same quality and early success of the previous season is unrealistic, but that's not to say that this team can't be the best in CBB come February and March.

I think that's what UK fans expect.

  • I both agree and disagree. there are going to be bumps in the road early in the season while the players learn the things that Cal is stressing and it will take time for the chemistry to develop to the point where they know each other really well off the court and intimately on the court. When they get to that point(late Jan or early Feb.) they are going to be a dangerous team to contend with. Klein didnt mention that KY has 2 bigmen that will be available to Cal that can block shots and run the floor and maybe they arent Davis but together they are a formidible tandem.

  • There may be some legit opinions in there, but I quit reading in the first paragraph when the writer misspelled TJ's name. Call me crazy, but I have a hard time accepting what's being portrayed as an 'expert opinion' on a topic when they don't even get the players' names spelled correctly.
