I often wonder what the mood would be like right now had UK beaten UofL last year. To me, that sent the angst flying out of control (further proof the game is useless?) and not even snapping the UT skid at the end of the season could keep it from resurfacing.
If they found a way to win that UofL game, we could have a totally different outlook on everything right now. Like you say, some good things have happened under Joker's watch. A game or two falls his way (Pitt 2010, UofL 2011) maybe there's a lot more optimism. It's a fine line.

It is a fine line. But that's a line we shouldn't have to worry about. Those two games should have been wins, easily. UL weakest team in years and Pitt with three head coaches in a week. Joker's heat is deserved. I'm generally an optimist and like Joker, but those should've been wins and the fine line we're discussing should be a close loss MS St, Georgia, or Vandy; not UL or Pitt.

Wonder how many LSU, FLA, BAMA fans would rather go see THUNDER, OMG THUNDER, over their teams spring game? If you call yourself a fan tell you wife to take the kids to thunder and you see the SG... You would really rather see thunder than our SG??? Wow, no wonder we can't recruit 4 and 5 star players. And don't start with the "that isn't the problem with recruiting" because it does play into it... While we do have a good fan-base everyone even "Nord" was talking about all this negative cry baby ___!!! Joker is even starting to indirectly beg for support by saying "Don't give up on us", he shouldn't have to do that, while I whine and complain when we throw the ball on first down then try to run in 2 times up the middle, I also never think for a second I could do those guys job, and i've played and coached for 17 years... Give these guys some support and complain about things that deserve it, not things Joker and these kids can't help, not showing up hurts FB in so many ways... This very young and inexp team needs support now more than ever.
Blast away if you like, IDC... GO CATS!!!

My hunch is the fireworks thing gives you more of a look into the mindset of a great percentage of UK fans than we might care to know. People tend to cite UK's attendance figures as a sign of passion for the program, but it's probably more of a social event than passion for football. And that's why many hate to see a conflict like Thunder. It's another party.

1st twinge of concern: the melt-down against Ole Miss in Joker's first year after UK was rolling them easily in the first 15 minutes
2nd event that raised concern: 4th and two against UT on their 37 and the 17-yard net punt
Bells and Alarms: Pitt
This probably isn't going to work: UL
