Offense:
1. Cobb. Yeah I'm a little concerned about the WRs but this dude was and still is UK. Awesome talent and heart.
2. Woodson. Some QB concerns this year, but would love to see Dre playing on a team that had a defense.

Defense:
Jarmon - Dude could cause some problems in the backfield.

Offense- Stevie Johnson

Defense- Lindley

Offense - Tamme or Cobb
Defense - Lindley

Would the Cobb answers have him at Wildcat Qb so he could get the ball to himself, or do you think he was good enough at WR that whoever gets the QB job would be fine if they had Cobb as a target?

Just curious.

Offense - Randall Cobb. This team sorely needs a playmaker. He was the best to play for UK since I can remember.

Defense - Wesley Woodyard. He was a leader and made the guys playing with him maximize their effort.

Offense- you would obviously have to go with Cobb, record setter for yards from scrimmage, Yes please. I don't care where he lines up on offense, just get him the ball and good things would happen.

Defense- At first I thought my answer would have been Lindley, but the more I think about it the more I think I would take Jarmon. Imagine a line of Ukwu, Jarmon, Cobble and Rumph. That would be one dominant D-Line and we would have to worry less about the secondary with that kind of pass rush. Remember, Jarmon would have more than likely set the school record for sacks had he been allowed to play his senior year.

I think you have to realize he's a dynamic player, regardless, and get him on the field in any capacity. I'd put him at WR, and mix a few snaps in for Wildcat. Plus he was a great KR/PR, which would give us a known commodity there.

For fun, and because I mostly agree with everyone above, I'll go in a different direction:

O: Garry Williams at RT. Believe he would solidify what I believe to be a pretty solid unit.
Runner-up: Hefty Lefty. He was just plain fun to watch.

D: I'll take Marcus McClinton. Dude was heart and soul. Can we bring back the "We Believe" song?

IMO We as UK fans (myself included) are just dieing for a playmaker and thats is Cobb. Touches, touches, touches, however he could get them.

Offensive - Cobb, just no one else like him. But Woodsen or any of the receivers from '07 would be suitable 2nds.

Defensive - toughy, but actually have to go with Wesley Woodyard on this one for some seasoning in the LB corp.

I originally thought Cobb without a doubt for the offense but after reading everyone elses posts and contemplating it more I would want Keenan Burton. Keenan was a better leader than Cobb and that's what this offense is truly missing. With Cobb everyone relied on him too much. With KB he lead the offense, got them to work harder, and to work as a unit. When he was healthy he was dangerous not only as a WR but also in the return games. Injuries kept him from doing much in the return games though.

Defense is a toss up between Jarmon and Lindley. I have to go with Jarmon because he would be that dynamic pass rushing DE that we have been missing and would make it so that our DB's wouldn't need to cover for so long.

These are the kinds of threads we need more of on the football side of things.

Not sure Burton was a better leader than Cobb. Cobb would make this teams so much better just by returning punts and running the Wildcat. Not to mention what he could do on the outside and in the slot. Give me a great Right tackle and I'd be good as well.

Give our talent and experience on the Dline this year I'd probably have to go with Danny T at Will. That would just be unreal. Simpson, DT, Avery, and Bud at LB with the studs we have up front would be one of the best Run D's in UK history.
