If we were to go to four divisions, I could see something (insanely complicated, as it may be) like this happening:
Each team plays all 3 divisional opponents each year, then 2 each from two other divisions and 1 from the last, with both the teams and divisions rotating through. For example, in year one, UK would play 3 from their own division, 2 from the East, 2 from the South, and 1 from the West. The next year, they'd play 2 from the West, the remaining 2 from the East, and then 1 from the South. That would keep it to an 8 game league schedule while ensuring you could play everyone within the league within 3 years (I think
).
