Won't happen this yr obviously, but will Stoops move the home UL game back to the first game slot or leave it where it's at? Considering the fearlessness that he's attacked recruiting, I can see him moving it back knowing we'll have that opening weekend exposure that comes with it.
Thoughts?

I'd add the caveat that we cancel it after the next time we beat them.
Why would you want to cancel the series? Because you can't handle the truth and the fact that Louisville is a much better football program? So.....you're saying your scared to play us? If you want to cancel the series after your next win then you're basically saying keep the series for the next 10-15 years right?
For those UK fans that say we should drop the series, I ask you why? Is it because you are afraid of losing to ul? If that's the case then why don't you ask Mitch to move us to the Big East? I mean if you're afraid to play ul you must be afraid of SEC teams, right?
It's a great series for the fans and the entire state. It should not be cancelled.

Cancel the series... I hate playing them. Helps them, hurts us.
Disagree - I love playing them. Want to stomp the living crap out of them every single year.
I also prefer it as the first game. Football buzz all summer long. Something to talk about in the offseason that is called Baseball.
GoCats!
Tard fans...nobody is scared of you. Enjoy your "golden era"...it's almost over. The last decade of Card football will soon be seen as it's high water mark.
I would like to drop them because it helps U of L and hurts UK. It's a no-win for UK. I love beating them, but hate hate hate losing to them. It's not worth the damage to my blood pressure to play them. I am not scared of them and know all things being equal we will beat them 2/3 of the time. The SEC vs. whatever conference they end up in gap will mean we beat them even more as time goes on.
One thing I wouldn't mind is playing them every third year. Doing so would allow us to add some diversity to our OOC schedule. Playing U of L EVERY single year seems stale to me. I would like to mix in another team or two into that.
One idea I like is to set up our OOC schedule to include a rotation of state schools: U of L, WKU, and Murray. Play one of these each year. So, you would play each one every three years.
For second and third OOC games play whoever...Kent St., Ohio U., etc. (this will be one OOC game a year soon when the SEC goes to the inevitable nine game schedule)
For the last OOC game play a low tier BCS opponent, or high level non-BCS school who is a basketball school or something like that...Duke, North Carolina, Indiana, Memphis, Houston, SMU, CFU
If we aren't going to play top tier OOC games at least give us a little variety.
NOBODY is scared of playing UL. I would prefer we play them the very last game of the regular season. I hate that we play UT the last game every year. I'd much rather play UL, imagine the fanaticism of that game if it kept one team from going to a potential bowl game or playoff.... CrAzY excitement.
The reason many fans want the series dropped is because it doesn't benefit UK win or lose. When we win we are supposed to. If we lose then it's how did you lose to little brother? They also want that extra game available to be a home game every year or possibly get another BCS school that is in a high recruiting priority area to rotate in. It has absolutely, positively not a damned thing to do with fearing anyone, lest of all a bunch of pansy, cross-dressing, free-loading, snitches from the ghetto trailer park that is the 'ville.
I think it helps the state to maintain the series in some fashion.
