HS Football

  • I realize it's just 2A football, but you want to keep an eye on these young kids down here in the west end.
    Caldwell County Freshmen QB E. Sindelar first varsity game stat line, 18 - 24 526 6 TD 0 int. Freshmen RB J. Boyd 24 - 288, 8 TD.

Caldwell put up 850 yds of offense and 80 on the board.

These are a couple of 13 year old kids, great kids by the way. I watched this group as 8th graders. They are very, very talented. Not to be overlooked is the Line play. Several starting linemen are freshmen as well. I truly believe their is some legitimate D1 talent in this group.

Pretty impressive start to their HS careers.

  • Crazy stats! Who was the competition?

    Katonic

  • Calloway County - I think their either 3A or 4A.

Not a very good program these days, but still very impressive for 13 year olds. If this group of kids can stay together, I think they will be a really special group.

Good kids, good parents, and a bunch of talent. They have a big, athletic line and athletes all over the field.

Bob just a quick question I live in Crittenden so we will see you guys later this year but is Caldwell still running a form of the Tony Franklin offense?

Wow. I don't care WHO the competition was, those are very crazy stats. Names to keep an eye on in the next 3-4 years.

Yes. Tony is from here originally. D. Barnes came back here a few years ago, he was a pretty good running back in the day, and brought this offense with him. They spread it out, very fast paced, make most calls from the LOS.

Fun to watch, but they had a tendency to bog down in the red zone last year. No problem last night.

These kids are generational talent. Come along once every 20 years or so. They are big kids as well. Sindelar stands 6-2, and like I said, just 13 years old. Quality kids.

They play at Crittenden next week, in the National Guard Warrior Bowl, think they get Union.

And Chris, I been reading these boards since it was called the wildcatlair, 1998 I think. I remember Drummond back then and a crazy lady named Miss Kitty. I rarely post, just like to read.

  • As a point of reference on this game there are arena games that don't score as much.
    Caldwell 80
    Calloway 62

And I'm not making that up
