HUGE Football Visitor on Campus

  • Early this morning BBK re-tweeted a tweet by Jay Woods that said he is visiting UK and UL today and going to Mizzou's spring game tomorrow (they quickly deleted their re-tweet). This is one of the top DTs in the south.

  • At this early stage in the class of 2013 recruiting, I don't have a clue who to pay attention to and I certainly try not to get too excited over unofficial visits this early. Of course, getting guys of that caliber just to step foot on campus says a lot, but I still can't manage to get myself fired up about any particular recruits yet. I know we're in on a LOT of really big time prospects, but I'm trying to temper my expectations until I see how many of them continue to consider us as time progresses.

  • The difference between the SEC and the other conferences isn't simply depth, coaching, and speed; it's speed on the DL that makes the difference. It's vital for UK to real in kids like this and bolster our DL so that the LB's and DB's can do their thing.

    Agree entirely with that. Most conferences' skill guys are similar from a speed standpoint. What makes the SEC standout is the speed in the front seven on defense, especially on the D-Line.
