Stupid shit like this is why I am fed up with being a Knicks fan. They are the most idiotic front office in the NBA. $13.2 million over 3 yrs for an old, beat up Camby (when they just agreed to only $9 million over 3 yrs for Kidd) while giving up several young players and TWO 2nd round picks? Are you EFFING kidding me? The Rockets brass has to be laughing their ass off right now.

Why would they give that up and pay that kind of salary for a 38 yo player? I could understand if it was a cap move, but it doesn't seem that way to me.

With all the players the Rockets have that are 6'9 and taller, it seems they are trying to be like the Milwaukee Bucks of the early 1990s.

I think Houston made out in this trade in the long term but the Knicks aren't thinking long term, they've got maybe 2 years before the Carmelo/Amare roster needs blowing up. Pairing Tyson Chandler with Camby in the back court, despite Camby's age is going to be formidable. You've got Kidd mentoring Lin, Novak dropping 3s. The Knicks will be better next year if they can stay healthy!
Now if the Rockets trade for Bledsoe to be their starting PG they will be close to a UK starting five :P

Knicks are a total mess. Not to mention I feel like they have two of the league's stars that aren't willing to make the necessary sacrifices that other of the league's stars are willing to make in Amar'e and Carmelo.

Correct. The Knicks are a terrible franchise right now. It doesn't hurt me to say that. I hate the teams of that city. Spoiled.

I agree, and it starts at the top with poor management. I think both of those players are great and capable of a championship, but not together. Melo with an elite PG, solid post players like they already have, and a top flight shooter at SG would be an instant competitor.
