  • In terms of the ACC there is a lot of talk about that conference unraveling soon. UL returns their 5 top DE's for the next two years in 2 juniors and 3 sophomores. In addition, one of the two 4 star commitments is from a DE. Lot's of competition to play DE at UL, at UK, not so much, especially on campus now.

    Anyway I do think this is great news for UK. With the new problems at Lville UK may have a great chance to land this beast.

    I'll summarize. Most seem to think this is really good news for UK.

    Some talk about UofL joining the ACC.

    That's it really.

    Ive noticed sometimes I have to uncheck "show post to subscribers only" and sometimes I don't. Most people probably post without ever looking at that. That's probably why this happens so often.

  • We need a members only board. I am tired of the constant whining from people who don't pay to be a member while I am paying for access that doesn't mean anything. The show only feature is a pain and while I think the people who pay for the site should have some benefit I don't like being criticized because the default show only feature pops on or off. All information comes out eventually.

  • I've never seen more whining than from the people allowed on here for free.

    One question. What would you do if they made a non-members page? They aren't going to post ANYTHING on there. You get what you get by being allowed on here. Go to Yahoo or somewhere and get in a chat room if all of you non-members are that unhappy and stop bitching on here. You've been doing it for months. Shit or get off the pot!

    That is new too, but that isn't what ultimately led him to Southern Cal. Could be a combination of things.

    I've had others tell me UK though. I am not going on gut alone. It is probably fair to taper expectations though, because if Louisville does somehow get him, then the fan base will be crushed.

    I just remember the Lamar Dawson recruitment and how a portion of the fans turned negative on the KID because he chose another school when we thought we had him. I definitely would love to have Hatcher and the last school I want him to go to is Louisville, but I'm going to wait to see the LOI come trough the fax before I am sold that he is ours.

    I think the talk is rumors of the SEC courting Duke/UNC and the former B10 is rumored to be going after more schools. The ACC could be picked apart

  • I do not normally have many sources, but I do have quite a few friends connected to the Trinity program. Was told today UL has no shot with all the stuff going on there and that it's 90% UK and 10% USC.

    I think this a whole lot different than Dawson's recruitment. For one, Dawson played it out and already knew where he was going. Pretty much led the fanbase on from the start. Hatcher just officially decomitted from USC and has stated that we are one of the two schools he will choose.

    Just too many positives for us right now in his recruitment, especially with the in-home visit this week. Josh suggested that Eliott made a great impression on his mom.

    Not saying it's going to happen because I've been a UK football fan for way too long to expect anything but I feel pretty good about this. Hope it happens, will be depressed if it doesn't but life will go on with Stoops and company.

  • Give it up guys. Hatcher has already given his commitment to Coach Strong - he did so personally in San Antonio right after the Army All-American game. Strong asked him to take his remaining visits to increase the visibility of his recruitment. It has already been planned that Jason will announce on Feb. 6th in front of a packed house at Trinity High School with his teammates James Quick and Reggie Bonnafon in attendance and ESPN U televising it live. This has been orchestrated by the Hatcher family and the staff. This was done for maximum exposure for Hatcher and UofL. They're calling it the 'Trinity Trifecta.' Pretty catchy eh? As for UK, I think Coach Stoops was a good hire for you guys and you will get your share of players - just not the one's we want this year (other than Meadows) and especially not the one's from Louisville. We have Trinity on lock down and St. X as well very soon when they recruit more talent with the addition of ex-UofL stars Browning Nagle and Mike Flores to the coaching staff. Good luck next year!

    Well that's a shame because he gave Stoops a verbal during is official visit a few weeks ago. Kids change their mind. Shaddup...

    Dawson was different & he never led anyone on. As soon as USC came knocking it was over with. The relationship he had with Chuck Smith is the only reason UK was in the final 3. He did that for him & UK knowing it would give them exposure that a top recruit like himself would have them as a finalist. That recruitment is over & done with so quit trying to drag his name through the mud. As it is evident that you are clueless on his recruitment.

    Well first of all I live in danville. Lamars grand mother and family are very good friends of mine. Lamar was neaver ever going to go to any school close to KY. He wanted away from his family and there past.

    I dont care who our coach was he was not going to go to KY not ever.

    He wanted as far away as he could and he did just that in USC.

    First of all no dis to you or the members on this site. But some people have less money than you to spend on any site. We try to get as much info as possible from sites we love UK as much as you but have less money to throw around.

    If you think you are better than us and that being a member makes you the big man on campus then fine.

    But as I said you have private only post and I get that but when a person adds a post and then it goes only VIP that sucks for US.

    But as I said if it makes you feel good then great.

    I love how this country has dropped to. one for all all for one. not any more. Its I have it and you dont so go away.

  • Why do you think I should pay to support your interest in a luxury like a fan board? We are not talking about anyone's rights here. I don't know anyone who cannot either wait a day or two for every single piece of information to be all over the public boards or just pony up 6 dollars a month for membership. I never claimed to be better than you but I work hard and pay for this site which would not exist without paying members. 247 is not going to China and borrow money to keep the lights on for you. I find the griping intolerable. You can ask a question in a nice way without being so damn insulting. We need to get rid of the "show only" feature and have two boards. It should not be the job of the members to keep up with who can see what content.
