Have we ever seen KY Football fans demanding more accountablity?

  • It is crazy out there. I have been going to all of the message boards, reading every article etc.

Bottom line is that Mitch needs a grand slam. . one that will make the fan base forget about Petrino. It is about 50/50 between journalists, 75/25 between fans. . then you have folks that play the party line. If he fails on his first few options, Petrino needs to be option 1A. Personally, we are already damaged goods and to rebuild we need to take a risk. Hire the best person available . . period. College Football is a business. . treat it as such.

Things I know for sure. . Fulmer, Cutcliffe etc. . negative. Same with anyone other than a major name in the NFL and that does not mean a coordinator. Dykes might suffice but he is going to have to prove himself quick.

Personally I like it. Why be top 25 in attendance every year to watch a miserable product. Expectations are good.

Hopefully UK is realizing (Finally) that there is too much revenue to be lost. With 18k at the Vandy game, that is dangerously close to not qualifying for FBS membership. You have to average 15k in attendance.

Let's start a decent conversation about this. Have we ever seen KY Football fans get this excited and demand a true commitment from the administration?

It can only help the program and UK athletics as a whole.

  • It's honestly the proudest I've ever been of the football fanbase. They're mostly on the same page.....which is that they won't accept continuing to be crapped by on the administration.

  • Very proud as well. We deserve better, and something more than a lack luster, matter of convenience hire.

I know many folks that have had tickets since Commonwealth was built that are questioning their commitment.

We are all UK fans but I don't think anyone can take another football season like we have had the past two years.

We need to make a statement. Change is good.
