I know this is a strange title, but just wondering how offers usually take place. Do we make contact with a recruit to see if he would be receptive to an offer or do we just make an offer whether we have even made any prior contact with the recruit, coach or school?

We are making so many offers and I was just wondering if we had likely actually made contact with all of these recruits or are we making the offers in hopes of the offer getting our foot in the door to try to build a relationship with the recruit?

I am sure we have made contact with a lot of the recruits before an offer goes out, but do we ever just shoot from the hip with an offer for a recruit that we may have film on but have never made any direct or indirect contact? Also, do offers usually go through the school, the coach or directly to the recruit?

One of the other threads mentioned that an offer had been made directly to a recruit rather than to his coach because CMS did not have a good relationship with the coach. I didn't know if this was way out of the ordinary?

Anyone with any firsthand knowledge of how it usually works? TIA GO CATS!!!
