How important

  • are the next two games not only for Joker and the players but the fans excitement for the program as well?

    IMO, very important. Joker and company need to win and win easily these next two games to calm down some of the negative fans. I truly believe Joker and the staff, he has put together, will have UK very competitive in the next few years if they are keep around. But with all the negative stuff, including down ticket sales, it needs to start today and next weekend.

  • IMO people who are as you describe negative fans ain't gonna be won back by wins over Kent St & WKU. Coulda been won back against UL, but that did not occur.

  • No doubt Joker is in big trouble if his team doesn't come out playing hard and physical today. Unfortunately, these nest to games offer little to gain and much to lose.

  • My point is that they need to win impressively not just win, to get some optimism back. Winning by 7 or 10 will not do that. I should have made my question more clear.

  • Make no mistake, these 2 games are HUGE for Joker. They are not "just a couple of typical cupcake games" like many fans are thinking. Joker not only needs to win both of these (which is not a given), he needs for our team to come out and play pissed off and make a statement from the opening kickoff in both games. He needs to win decisively so there is soem confidence going into the Swamp. Lose either of these games, and he is likely done. Win both but barely win or do so while looking really flat and it could still be a long season. Win them both decisively and with a swarming, attacking defense and an electric offense with some of the young guys making exciting plays on both sides of the ball and Joker just might get some excitement back in the fanbase.

  • He's got a lot of people questioning if he can get it done, and struggles against Kent St. and WKU will do irreparable harm to him and the staff. I hope like heck that Joker is up to the task and I'm afraid struggles today will have me thinking about his replacement.

  • If the cats struggle the next two weeks the feelers for coaches interest will be sneaking out.
    I've been a joker supporter, but if we struggle against kent and WKU we will undoubdtedly be watching jokers farewell tour.

  • Offensively, these next two games allow Max Smith and Co. to get a rhythm going and get themselves on track for a very productive year. It also allows Sanders to work in Mobley, Sweat, and Legree.

    Defensively, Minter needs to get the D on the same page. They must solidify their assignments and alignments. Most importantly, they need to have success. No big plays and get off of the field on 3rd and long.

    Ultimately, the 'Cats need to win and win big. If they can, it bodes well for the season. If they scrap to win, Joker is in trouble.
