I got killed on here before the FB season.

  • I said James Franklin was tearing it up at Vandy and that they had left us behind. I was told by one of our writers here that Franklin got lucky last year and caught lightening in a bottle. Vandy is 5-4 about to go to two straight bowls and have out scored UK 78-7 in two games. They are on the way up and we have hit rock bottom.

  • I hope you don't take this wrong. What are you looking for? For someone to say that "You da man!", a pat on the back or to say to that one writer "I told you so!"?

    I think everyone has a sick stomach about this season and where we are but personal gloating seems a little juvenile right now.

    Many of us said the same thing and were told that we simply "don't get it" and weren't "real UK fans" for believing that.. It was obvious from early on that James Franklin and Charlie Strong were going to humiliate Joker and UK in time. It certainly didn't take much time.

  • That may be true but Vanderbilt still hasn't beaten a team worth a damn in his two years as coach either. I mean let's not act like Vanderbilt has ripped up the league.

    We have lived off of our weak OOC schedule, even when Brooks was here. They are just doing what we did a few years back. 4-0 OOC and 2-6 in the SEC

    Vanderbilt is better than UK right now. Franklin is a better coach than Phillips. Unfortunately, maybe 100 programs are better than UK right. Plenty of coaches better than Phillips as well. You were blasted because you are a drooling idiot and a dick-rider, not because you expressed an opinion.

    The fact that Franklin still has yet to beat a single team with a winning record is still a fact and doesn't change because UK is a bad football team right now.

    All things being equal, I'd trade Vandy's trajectory over ours'.

    Never said people shouldn't feel that way or that Kentucky was better than Vanderbilt the past two years, just that it's not like Vandy has beaten anyone of substance. Clearly they're improved under Franklin, which everyone has acknowledged since the end of last season. Today clearly indicated Vandy has put some distance between it and UK for now. That said, Kentucky is terrible at this point. There's no denying that.

    No, Franklin has three SEC wins in his second year...along with the two beat-downs he has delivered to us, I would say he is doing a little more than what we have done over the last decade

    And they've still out-scored us by a combined 70 points over that two-season period. That is a frighteningly horrific number. Oh the humiliation. banghead

    This is perfectly valid. UK is absolutely terrible right now. So much so that we're losing badly to mediocre-to-bad teams.

  • In the Professors prediction thread I made the priction of Vandy-33 UK-17. I was close to what Vandy actually scored but Im embarassed that KY didnt score at all more less 17. When I think of what Vandy did to us I became very sad and to think we didnt even get a field goal. WOW!!!!violin
