  • I just spent 20 minutes on the phone with Directv and although I live in Louisville, these UK network/IMG games are considered "out of market" and are blacked out. For some reason I get Fox Sports Cincinnati here (I think Lexington does too) and even if I buy the Fox Sports package it will still be blacked out. I don't get this? If I lived in Tennessee, or Alabama I get to see the game live, but because I live in Kentucky I have to buy ESPN Full Court to see the IMG games.

I'm not sure who's to blame for this, but it's stupid....to say the least. The University really doesn't seem to give a darn about the quality of these IMG productions either. I thought the games were supposed to be in Hi Def this year? I watch the games delayed in Louisville and the commercials look great, in hi def, then the game looks awful.

I know this is my first post, but when I lived in Los Angeles between 1993 and 2008...this site was my only source of info. I remember well Katman2000, SmokeyPearl and all the trouble makers...but have forgotten all the great posters names. This site, and it's earlier incarnations got me though living in Pac 10 land. The sad thing is that my buddies in L.A are going to watch this game "Live" and I'm not. Just angers me a little.

  • Interesting...I live in Louisville and have my Directv install set for tomorrow. Currently Insight doesn't have the game blacked out on FSS as I am watching it. This will not be a good first impression if I cannot watch those games!

  • Well, this is the last IMG game like this...or one of the last. Directv is great. Don't let this change your mind.

It wouldn't change my mind, it would just piss me off, lol. When I first moved back to Louisville from Cali (2007), I chose Directv...and found out they didn't have the local channels in HD, that was a quick cancel and stupid money gone!

I just looked at the TV lineup and it looks as though you are correct at this being the last game on here. So that is good!

I live in Spenser County, part of the Louisville Market.
I have DirecTV and the full Fox Sports package. I have seen every game Live that was scheduled to be a
UK network/IMG game. Mine were not blacked out! The local channel 58 carries them delayed.

    I don't understand the problem?

The Morehead game was on alternate Fox South station.
Last night's game with LIU was also on the Sun Network.

"Interesting", I live in Dallas and they air high school football over to 25 basketball. It's crazy down here they don't even know what a basketball looks like. Joking of course. I didn't get the game here and I have DirecTV.

  • FSS also blacked out in Chicagoland.

  • I live in cincy, and it's on delayed when on FSS. I get FSOhio, but I have been taking the hdmi cord out of my cable box, and plugging it into my laptop. Then I go to espn3.com and watch the free stream online. Once u maximize it, it plays on the tv in high def, based on the reception ur CPU gets! It varies, sometimes it's really good, sometimes it's grainy. I usually have to close the browser on some commercials and reconnect, but it is worth the trouble. Hope this helps somebody
