Would you like to bet me your next 2 paychecks that WCS is going to stay? Most NBA scouts and GMs expect him to move up into the lottery once he works out for the draft (based on comments after his knee procedure). His stock has not dropped at all and in no way has he been 'set back'. Even saw it mentioned that the knee procedure was done now (as opposed to later) in preparation for the draft workouts.

Sigh....
We see these threads about once a month. All of them are posted in hindsight.
Think REALLY hard. Have we had more than 6 guys that cal has recruited that were expected to leave after one year when they got to campus?
Bledsoe was thought to be a four year guy. Cousins wasn't expected to leave . Even halfway through the season most thought he'd stay. Teague was never thought to be one and done.
Nobody thought Cauley stein would be discussed as a one and done. Nobody thought Orton would be One and done.
You get my point

...rated 4-year type kids on the roster every year. I'd like at least one inside guy and a perimter player. Derek Willis seems to fit the bill on the inside. As for the outside guy? I'm warming up to Madison Central's Dominique Hawkins.

While it makes sense, it's just not going to happen with Calipari. Those guys are either A) going to go where they get minutes or B) end up like Jon Hood, getting buried at the end of the bench for the next latest, greatest freshman. That's how Calipari has structured his team. The guys who he did have that did some of that were all inherited players (Liggins, Miller, Harrellson) and he had to be convinced to even keep Harrellson around. He wanted to send him packing but was talked into keeping him at the last minute.

People need to give this a rest. Look, Cal is going to recruit the best players available. Sometimes the talent pool won't be that great and he won't always get that guy who is the difference between a team like last year's and Wall & Co. and say this year. This years team is good, but hasn't hit great like those other teams.
As for the type of guys you're talking about I wish he would take some too, but the reality is it won't happen often or at all. One kid I really wish Cal had taken is Hickey. The defensive presence we would have if he and Noel teamed up would be nasty.
Keep Calm & Stoops On..

Not sayin' he'll be here next year, but they are looking.
I'd like to see Cal keep a couple of lesser...
