If money wasn't a factor, what is best fit for the 6 Cats...

  • ... expected to be drafted this year?

Anthony Davis - Hoping it's Wizards to pair with Wall.

MKG - Sacramento with Tyreke and Big Cuz would be cool. A Cal trifecta.

Terrence Jones - I have no clue on this one. Seems to be a lot of Jones-type bodies in the NBA, an d I'm still not completely sure how his skill set is going to translate to the next level. I would think maybe landing with a team that can afford to be patient with him and let him develop over the first couple of years would be best. Memphis? LA Clippers?

Doron Lamb - Celtics? Ray Allen successor?

Marquis Teague - Lakers? Obviously need a PG upgrade, but will they be thinking FA/trade instead? Some Deron Williams talk out there.

Darius Miller - Someone mentioned the Spurs to me tonight. I think that type of team would be perfect for Darius, someone who values his versatility and technically-sound game.

Davis - I agree on Washington for him. Would be a helluva pairup with Wall.

MKG - Could see him in Sactown, too. He'll fit in anywhere, though.

Teague - Lakers, Heat both need a good point guard. Though, I think they both go FA. Other than that? Have no idea where he should go.

TJ - Portland would be a hell of a place for him to fall. He'd be in his hometown, which would give him extra incentive to do his best. JMO.

Lamb - Agreed on the Celtics. I'd love to see his deadeye shooting replace Ray Allen's in the next couple seasons.

Darius - A well set up team who needs a versatile forward to bring off the bench. It would be great for him to go to the Spurs or Celtics, imo.

  • Davis- Gonna go off the wall and say best fit is Detroit. Got their young PG in Knight and a PF that compliments Davis perfectly in Greg Monroe. Lets him come in and do Davis stuff and be the superstar that Detroit needs.

MKG- Fits anywhere and I will probably be an above average pro. I'd love to see him go somewhere where he's the leader from day one as I think his attitude is so infectious he'd actually make some really bad teams better by sheer force of will. Take into consideration over the last two seasons of play in HS and college MKG has lost a grand total of 3 games.Personally I kind of hope he goes New Orleans. Can't help but like the Hornets franchise since Mash's days there and I'd like to see them eventually succeed.

Terrence-Boston. KG is on his last legs and they're going to be looking for a PF of some kind to develop. Good fit that could bring him along slow and let him adjust to the NBA.

Doron- Chicago. Immediate back up to Ronnie Brewer and gives them exactly what they were hoping to get in Richard Hamilton. Plus eventually you'd have the all Cal back court with Rose and Lamb

Darius- I don't like the Spurs fit for Darius. Think he's everything they love in a player but with Stephen Jackson, Gary Neal, James Anderson and Kawhai Leonard already on the roster which makes it hard for Miller to get good time. Plus they don't pick until the next to last pick of the 2nd and no way Darius falls that far. Think he's a really good fit in Indiana in a lot of ways. Can back up both Granger and Paul George and seems like one of those players that Larry Bird would fall in love with

  • The spurs would be a great fit for darius. On that note, what they are doing in the playoffs is nothing short of amazing. To win 20 straight in the nba and 10 straight against playoff competition is quite a feat. Oklahoma City is the second best team in the league IMO and they basically toed with them last night.

  • – Kind of off the wall but I wouldn't mind seeing Davis in Golden State. Think Mark Jackson is going to be a good coach and they like to get up and down which I think would be a good fit for Anthony.

    – Would love to see MKG in Sacramento. Any UK guys going to Washington worries me. That organization is a mess.

    – Jones: Portland, Boston, Phoenix, Orlando, Dallas

    – Teague: Indiana, Memphis, Lakers, Miami, Toronto

    – Lamb: Boston, Chicago

    – Miller: I think the Spurs would be a good fit as an organization but I worry about the depth they have on their roster right now. Also: Chicago, Detroit, Portland

  • Lakers would not be a good fit for Marquis now ... way too much pressure. They are pursuing Williams or Nash. It would be good for Lamb though, they are desperate for long bombers.

  • Teague has proven he can handle pressure, though. He was unflappable this year as people singled him out as UK's alleged "weak link" and really rose to the occasion. Cool customer.

I thought about this, too, although the complete opposite. I think that could be too big a distraction for him.

  • I'd like to see Jones take Marvin Williams' spot in Atlanta.
