Jason hatcher

  • For those who have read the article... Did you all think it sounded like every quote from hatcher's mom was manufactured?

The USC rivals site has no credibility with hatcher. They've reported some bizarre and blatantly false info about his official visit out there.

The fact that hatcher won't speak to the people and his mom Gave all the quotes is awfully fishy to me.

I edited your title cause it is begging for the naysayers to flame. -CC

  • Yeah, am I the only one who has noticed he "recommits" to USC every time the Hatcher to UK talk has been loud?

  • Exactly!!

Also, A non-employee of another site (with very good info lately) said UK was on an in-home visit with Hatcher tonight when the USC rivals called for the interview that the story is based on.

The story only quotes Hatchers mom as mentioned...not Jason himself. I think USC would have more credibility in their story if they spoke to him directly......further, USC Rivals did this same thing last week...they are a bunch of "sunshine pumpers".

Im taking the optimistic route...mom holding the fort down and the party line until NSD....and perhaps on NSD Hatcher has a "change of heart" for UK. We shall see.....

Has anyone ever got a feel for how the mother feels about UK? A couple of weeks ago, it seemed the family was all happy that he was coming back to play locally.

I was told twice by somebody close to him that it's 90% UK 10% USC. Said it on that other site too. Wouldn't share info if I didn't trust the person providing it.

Scuttlebutt is that she loved DJ Elliot...and they all like Stoops' and Elliots' success with Dlineman. (especially Elliot and DEs).

  • This is one where we just have to sit back and wait until signing day to see what he does. He could shock the world or he could end up at USC. Either way, I'm glad that it appears he doesn't want to be in the city of Louisville and playing for the turds.

Just curious, are you referring to "blue tiger" on Rivals?

If "blue tiger" is his handle/name, then no...its another poster. The poster has been posting info on the site's premium board for past 2 weeks or so....(but he is not passing along premium content - he seems to have his own sources).

  • IMO and I have absolutely no connections. It's between UK and ul and has been for awhile. What little I know, there is a huge pull for kids that grew up in Louisville to go Louisville. I get the feeling Hatcher and family has really became a part of everything Stoops and Elliot has to offer.

  • I believe UK has a legit shot but I don't believe all this its UK and USC talk. Why would UofL all of the sudden be completely out of play. Louisville has had this unbelievable year and then all of a sudden the kid has decided to completely shun them. That doesn't make sense to me. I would say its between UK and UofL and its more like 60-40 UK.

  • I guess what I should say is that I haven't seen any analysis as to why Hatcher has decided to completely shun UofL when they have been thought to be the team all along if he were to decommit from USC. Quick is there and the Trinity ties are strong. His Mom is a huge UofL fan. Are the coach at UK now just that good or is there a reason why he has decided to go against the grain?

Imo it seems like Hatcher to UL is an assumption everyone makes "b/c thats what Trinity kids do". If that were the case he would have never verballed to USC....and he wouldnt be giving UK so much time to convince him why he should go to UK (he'd be giving that time to UL coaches).

Multiple in-homes, and multiple visits to Lexington....does that sound like Hatcher to UL to you??? It doesn't to me. It may not be UK....but it doesnt seem like he's interested in UL.

I have also read that Hatcher didnt go to his football banquet.....which, imo, is a sign to me that he beats to his own tune. (not a bad thing).

  • That could very well be. The initial assumption that Hatcher was UofL's to lose could just have been false AND maybe our coaches are that good. DJ Eliot specifically. Interesting note that their could be some bad blood their between Hatcher and Trinity. Never though of that angle but it could be possible. Or it could just be like you said that he marches to the beat of his own drum. I'm just throwing things out there.

  • I think more likely though Hatcher is still considering UofL but our coaches are just doing a better job recruiting him.

Its between USC and UK. Ultimately I believe he will be a Cat. This will be retribution for Lamar Dawson in a way. I was at Boyle County HS when he chose USC. That was a horrible day for UK. Had he been here he would have already been making a name for himself.

  • I've read where like Dawson, Hatcher simply doesn't want to stay home. He wants to get away for college and thus his initial desire to go to USC. Stoops has given him plenty to chew on and has shown him that UK is a local option where he is away but close enough to home for visits and family to watch the games.

Im obviously trying to paint a pretty picture for UK here - lol! my gut tells me its down to USC and UK.....and hope its UK in the end. Only time will tell....but if it's UK ----> kudos to the staff x1000

    Chiuk

  • Don't get me wrong I think in the end it will be UK. I hope you guys are right and UofL is completely out of the picture. I'd must rather see him going to USC. But if UofL is out like you guys say and he decommitted from USC then UK seems like the likely choice here. Rarely it seems do kids end up back at the school they decommitted from.

That should tell us something if even their fans are saying it.

    Chiuk

  • Yea he is 100% not going to Louisville. We can all confirm that as Cards fans.
