Jerry Meyer: "Shabazz to UCLA"

Meyer has been saying for awhile that UK was the leader for Shabazz.
Today put out a video that says despite UK winning the title, reliable sources are telling him now that Shabazz will go to UCLA to team up with Anderson to make up one of the nations top back courts next season.
I know JDrum has pretty much said all along that is what he's been hearing but are you all hearing anything new at all?

Don't believe it. Meyer has been about as wrong as Evan Daniels on these things.

Interesting because there is "chatter" today that UK is going to hit the trifecta with Bennet, Noel and Shabaz.

Parrish and Goodman say that they are going to land all three.

I think Gary Parrish is leading the Trifecta talk... ala the #1 CBS ranking... but Its just a matter of the right guy having the right source on a certain kid... who knows.

The problem is some people know how to read sources. And some people just put out what they're being told with considering who its coming from and whether an agenda might exist.

Here is a telling paragraph...
Me and Shabazz Muhammad are deciding at the same time on ESPN so that should be pretty cool. It’s definitely just a coincidence because me and Shabazz have never even talked about schools or anything like that.
I remember Chris was saying before that he was not sure if it was going to be the same time but at least the same day. Well there is your confirmation.

Evan Daniels just tweeted out had 3 different sources tell him that Noel will be going to Georgetown. Says it is going down to the wire with him.
I can't honestly see UK missing on all three Shabazz, Nerlens and Bennett.

Jeff Goodman claims both UCLA staff and UK staff are telling people they are getting Shabazz..
This is going to be a funny week. Lot's of "insiders" will eat crow next week.
Why do people try to "predict" this stuff. Kids can change their minds? Hell, none of them have picked?

Noel just looks like a Georgetown center- kindof mean, all business, and a little retro. That is why I hope he comes to UK. I would LOVE to see that guy on our team.

We've said all along here that UCLA has been in driver's seat for Bazz and Gtown is a very real dark horse for Noel, so no big relevations with today's twitter buzz. I still think Noel ultimately picks UK, but it's going to be extremely difficult to flip Bazz.
This will be a very interesting week.

At this point, I've stopped paying attention. We'll find out next week, so let's just chill out. IF they both don't come to UK? We'll still be pretty good.

do not put any stock into what Jerry Meyer says. He grew up the son of Don Meyer who was a Knight disciple and a UK hater. He was a great high school player who wanted to play d-1 but could not. He always has an anti UK slant for the most part. He loves to get UK fans stirred up...

Meyer is a terrific evalaluator of talent. he has been beyond miserable when trying to "predict" where talented kids want to go.

I still say if Shabazz wants UCLA so be it,then take Pollard..I am a huge fan and he is bigger and very athletic..Rated in top 10 in the country..What's not to like...Regardless of the banter and wishing,we wont know anything until next wed....Fun aint it?

I think that has gotten increasingly difficult for anyone in the business, and most do not even like to do predictions. Kids are being far more private than ever with their inner thoughts on recruiting as websites and blogs have just engulfed them. It makes the job harder for guys like me and Chris, but I can't say I blame the kids.
