  • Sounds like a pretty good recruit. We seem to be in on several RBs from FL. That is good. Thanks for the information.

Yea and this kid is the best of all the FLA prospects IMO. I love those kids that are super strong powerlifters along with speed freaks... That combo would allow him to come in and play maybe even start from Day 1. If you haven't saw this kids highlight video you need to check it out, he is super quick... He has the best first step i've seen in a long time of any RB's on our board. He's my number 1 rb target for sure, He runs low 11 or high 10's in the 100 meters and is also one of the strongest kids in the state of FLA in the 198# weight class. I want this kid in blue and white...

Thanks for the additional information. I agree I really like kids that can come in run a legit 4.5, weigh 200+, and are powerful. That is a great combo.

  • Kemp is #1 overall on my personal wish list for this class, at least at this early stage in the process. Timmons is #2.

    mjdotson

  • Kind of sounds like Trent Richardson.

I'm with you 200%. KEMP! KEMP! KEMP!

I've said before that I truly believe this class has a shot at being a top 25 class. If we were able to land this kid....that could become a real possibility.

  • I just watched his film...the song that should have been playing was "Amazing," by Kanye West! LOL! I really hope we can secure this kid when he visits because there will be a lot of big time SEC schools offering before the year is up. Reminds me of Little's first step and cutting ability with Pinner's power. Kid will be a STUD!!!flex Get'em CJP!

  • Boy this kid would have me dancing and singing Oh Happy Day if we could land him. Timmons would be nice as well. That would give us some serious speed and playmaking ability.

By the way, How is Clemons coming along?

Will be hard based on quantity.

  • If there is still mutual interest when the season starts, I'm going to try and see him play in person. Deland has a big game on August 31st against Daytona Beach Mainland that I'd like to see. If not, I may try to catch him later against NSB, and also check out NSB's James Clark, who I like as well. Wish the Cats would show some interest in Clark.

James Clark might be the best-kept-secret of any player in the country who has more than 20 college football scholarship offers. The New Smyrna Beach wide receiver, however, said he likes it that

Yep, and there will be more open up by NSD. I am quite confident that we will sign at least 20, regardless of what it looks like now.

  • Wow...that's honestly the 1st RB film I've watched in a long time that's actually made my jaw drop. Kid is lightning quick. He goes from fast to lightning fast in a heartbeat and he's got the ability to drag defenders, too. Oh my goodness...sign him up!

Glad to hear that. There's probably more talent in Volusia Co. in any given year than in the entire state of Kentucky.

Yea I went to HS in Daytona Beach at Mainland back in 2000... All I heard about was Vince Carter since he also went there a couple years before me... I only went there for about 2 months but there football is crazy... I went to winter conditioning and I was shell shocked. I ended up playing NAIA ball but if I would have stayed I would have probably not been a starter until my SR year, I started as a Soph in Ky... The bucs are always good...

I can't believe some of you guys haven't saw this kids highlight video until recently... He is only rated like a 82 or something by 24-7 but IMO he should be a 5 star player... I like his highlight video better than last year 5 star D. Hart or Crowell... He's really alot like Richardson but more burst. I'm not sure if he'll ever have that type of size but he does have that type of speed... I don't know why schools like BAMA or FLA aren't all over this kid, this year must be a good year for RB's...

    todd

  • Holy crap. I just watched his 2011 highlights. Sign this kid up YESTERDAY.

He could be like NSB's Raheem Mostert. Completely overlooked until he got a late offer from Purdue, and then led the Big Ten and the entire nation in kickoff returns. I know a guy at the Daytona paper who told me that Mostert was the best kept secret in Central Florida. He feels that Kemp and Clark are out of the same mold. Also, Seabreeze sophomore RB Charles Nelson (5'11 190) is already turning heads.

Thanks Hoss, I would love to get Kemp, from what i've read though I think he'll stay in FLA.
