JoJo Kemp to decide soon....

  • visiting UK this weekend and will decide between UK, WVU, and Pitt next week. He's a good looking back. However, when comparing senior season highlights, I think Aregeros Turner looks like a much more explosive play maker. Turner stands out to me of all the backs UK is after. Thoughts?

I think Kemp has more upside at RB, just because of his size and experience at the position. Turner is explosive, without a doubt, but may project more to the defensive backfield or as a WR. Who knows what the staff thinks about Turner though, position-wise.

I would hate to have to choose between them, they would both be good additions to the '13 class.

Turner is the classic "utility" player. Could be a CB, could be a slot guy in our new offense. Could return kicks. Kemp is a RB through and through. Also, Kemp plays much better competition and there is a lot more speed on the field in his HL Tape, so that may make him look relatively slower. I would worry about Turner being hurt as much as Locke was or more at the RB position.

  • Anyone that says they do not want Kemp, please go watch his videos. They speak for themselves. I want this kid bad. Breaks tackles like a machine, and I think he runs closer to a 4.5 than a 4.6...

I think Stafon McCray looks really good. 5'11 195..great vision..good speed with an extra gear in the open. Hits the hole hard and his acceleration is off the charts.

  • I was completely sold on Kemp when I saw him go for 220+ yards and 2 TD against a really talented Sandalwood defense that knew Kemp was pretty much option A, B and C for Deland.
