I think we are in pretty good shape in the WR dept. right now, the way it stands. There are some other areas of concern. But I not the coaching staff and we don't know what is really going on behind the scene with the other recruits and players we have now.

We aren't even close to being "in pretty good shape" at WR. We need some guys who can go up and get the ball. Collins and Robinson are shify kids but with Sweat more than likely leaving we need a kid with the ability to handle the spread O. I'd say WR is one of the biggest positions we need to fill on offense, more so than RB.
Could you imagine Locke in a system like this. I can only think he would have flourished.

Couldn't disagree more.
We need guys who can play now.
1. Robinson 2. Collins 3 Sweat - May flunk out 4. Legree 5. Rashad cunningham 6. Bookie Cobbins
Only 2 of those guys are "proven" in collins and robinson. I'm not sure how good robinson can be with is lack of size. Legree and cunningham have some talent but I'm not sure what they can do.
So IMO we definetly need a juco WR and at least two frosh wr's.
We'll be playing some 5 wr sets.

Looks like Javess Blue is going to visit UK next month. ESPN ranks him as a 4 star WR, and right outside the top 10 overall Juco players, sitting behind Za'Darius Smith in their rankings.
Does anyone know more information about this kid, was being recruited by Texas Tech and Miss St is all I know, and what does BBN think about a kid like this?

Agree with hoptown .. 2 slightly proven (Collins & Robinson) .. 2 glimpses (Sweat & Legree) .. 2 nothing yet (Cunningham & Cobbins). Whitlow may move to WR in spring, but would be in the wait and see category.
We need at least 3 and likely 4 WR in this years class to run this Air Raid. And we will have immediate playing time in this system to sell out on the recruiting trail.

I dont know if you know these things but here goes. He is being recruited by 6 or 7 schools and has offers from Miss St., WVU and Texas Tech. he has just taken his official visit to TT on Dec. 7th. He is about 6'1 and 195 lbs. I think this guy would be a good catch for the Stoops staff. If you already know this stuff sorry about that but otherwise I hope this is a little help.

You're right ... Whitlow is a totally different player than Cobb. He is MUCH faster, but less shifty & no where near as stout. Cobb makes his money by using his head and intangibles on the field. I personally think that Whitlow has a higher ceiling than Cobb, but I don't think he would reach it on athletic ability alone. He must move to WR full time and commit to it in the film room & in his own head (which hasn't been an issue so far).

I think tWhitt it spot on. Randle was fast but what made him special was his "quickness" if that makes since. (cutting ability, field vision, etc). To be quite honest it helped that Randall was also just a smart guy who studied the game and had the heart of a lion.
Whitlow is also special in his own way. Good speed, a real baller. I see great things for him if he keeps improving.

Juco WR
