IF they signs with us then we might have the best team in recent memory. we are already talented to win it all next but with the addition of randle and Wiggins we might be best off all time( maybe even a undefeated season). what do you guys think? Randle has worked on his perimeter game it looks like.... Last summer he dominated in low post and over powered people driving to hoop.....now he is crossing people getting around them and pulling up for the jumper..now he is driving strong to hoop and pulling up close the basket avoiding charges.. I respect him very much..... if he can extend his range to the 3 point line and beyond in collage.... Him and Andrew wiggins might be the next Kobe and Lebron. watch his recent games after injuries. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYCvCLISBxQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5Gy0Nv0lZ4

Here is what you have to remember re: Randle and those highlights.
Now don't get me wrong. I love Randle's game. He's a man among boys most of the time he takes the court.
But Prestonwood plays in the Association of Private and Parochial Schools in Texas. From looking at those highlights, I'm not sold on the level of competition.
But let me state again, Randle is an absolute stud and UK would be lucky to have him.

Jones and Lamb returning was pretty huge considering we don't win the last game without Lamb's marksmanship. We also knew that Jones was a legit high level all sec player. Both of these guys have potential, but neither are the sure thing both of those guys were. I do think WCS is by far the most important person we need to return.

Talent level and lineup versatility are two of the main points I have heard that the staff sold these two on.
I continue to hear that everyone inside the program would be shocked if Randle isn't a Kentucky Wildcat a week from today. Wiggins, there isn't as much confidence on. The pitch was essentially for him to come to UK, play alongside Randle, the Harrisons, Young, Lee, Johnson and Poythress (yes, Poythress also) and be the star of a recruiting class that makes the Fab 5 look pathetic. And that practicing against McDonald's All-Americans and future lottery picks is going to be better preparation for the NBA than practicing against FSU, KU or UNC's scout team. Cal basically said "don't make any decision until after the All-Star games. Practice against those players and then come back and let me know how much tougher a practice it is than your typical HS practice and how much more challenged you are during that week than practicing against your typical scrubs". Paraphrasing, obviously.
I think Randle was turned off of KU because of the roster. They are guard heavy, which means that Randle could potentially be forced into the post. With Dakari and Marcus committed, plus the remote possibility of WCS or Noel returning, Randle is all but assured he will be playing a 4/3 hybrid role, plus the fact that we use our 4 and 3 interchangeably and they are on the perimter a lot of the time is appealing to Randle.
I hate to speculate and love Wiltjer to death, but his slump seems to coincide with reports I was given that Randle was likely to commit and that it was possible that more people than originally was anticipated were returning. He might be realizing that he could be relegated to the bench next season and this could be affecting his play. Again, this is just my own deduction based on the recruiting information and his lack of production recently. Everyone is going to have to compete.
