I like the late start; now I can go to the Morehead St. game, as well.

Fans need to come out and support the seniors last game and support the players. Now is the time to show you are truly a UK fan! This teams needs a nearly full stadium.

We'll be there, but the late start at that time of year won't help the crowd at all. We'd be lucky to get 60k to a game like that in a good year.

  • UK should bite the bullet and give the tickets away with the request for a donation to the American Red Cross. That way you get fannies in the seats, do a little good, and give all the concession volunteers a chance to finally make a little money

Oh come on, they need to step up to the plate, turn up their game a notch. . LOL I'll be there and hoping many others do too.

Or they could just take up a collection for American Red Cross from the fans there. I'd gladly donate. I think the concessions make plenty when they charge $4 for a cup of pop and $4 for a pretzel, etc....... Concessions is the last one I will feel sorry for. They rip the fans off every single sale they make!

  • Samford and UK must have a good relationship because we play them in basketball this year also.

While this is a great idea, UK probably doesn't have as many tickets as you think they do to give away. But every little bit helps, especially as we near the holidays.

There weren't many favors being done by the game a 7:30 pm start time. If UK is lucky, the temperature at kickoff will be around 50 and there will be no rain in the forecast. As much as you would like to pack the stands, there are a lot of people who come to games only as a social event and could care less about the game in general. That is part of the overall problem at UK but different topic for different thread. Inclimate weather will result in the stadium looking as it did saturday. Joker deserves better than that for his 10 years here. He has put everything he has into it. Unfortunately it just wasn't good enough to get the job done.

Most of the fans (myself included) have gotten what they wanted with Jokers dismissal. Now it is time for them to support the program one more game this season. I think fan support COULD be very helpful during this coaching search and also could hurt the program. As much as he didn't want to, MB gave the fans and media (at least the majority) what they wanted. Acting like spoiled brats and not attending the game next Saturday for whatever reason just might give a potential coach enough of a reason to not come here. On the other hand, attending the game and showing support for your school could also give a candidate reason to believe the fans truly care for their program. It may not matter, but it couldn't hurt. Besides, what else are you going to do on a Saturday night in November? Go to the same restaurant or bar that you've been to 20 times already this year?

  • UK ticket office is selling remaining tickets for $41. No one is going to pay that. Season ticket holders are asking less than 10 dollars on StubHub with no takers. The students will not pay even $5 to come. The game time could not be worse for a game in November. I say open it up and have a good farewell party.

I'd like to know where all the "fans" are that said if they announce Joker is out they would come back and support the PLAYERS. Now it's about the game time........really!?! Bundle up, put a few extra layers on, get yourself some feet warmers, bring a blanket and take one for the TEAM. Geeeezzzzzzzze....excuses, excuses, excuses. Disappointing to say the least.

As a student, I will NOT have you classify all of us as not paying 5 dollars to go. The student section is consistently full in the lower bowl, which is MUCH more than any of the regular sections can say.

Ugh? Really? That just means a full day of tailgating!! I was really hoping it wasnt a noon game to end the football season!

My thoughts exactly! It'll be cold, but who cares...it's football in the fall, so the colder, the better. I'm looking forward to tailgating, firing up the grill and tossing the football in the shadows of Commonwealth with my kids. LSU fans embrace night games, and make Death Valley a nightmare to play in at night. It wouldn't matter the weather, or when they have had down years, it's always nuts in there at night...lets do the same in our stadium on the 17th!

Ugh in that night games are absolute hell for our profession. And, sadly, there's no tailgating. Fun for fans, awful for reporters. I'll probably walk out of the stadium around 1:30 or 2 am. Oh well, it is what it is.
