Karl Towns Jr.

  • He's set to make his decision on December 4th (kind of early given he's a 2015 recruit but yeah), think it's UK given his history at UK, with the Dominican team and what not? Or is it Florida as he did say Florida was his "dream school". Chris got any info on this?

Isaw that and was quite surprised that he is commiting this early but like it said there is always reclassification which is probably what he will be doing. I thought for a while KY was a stone cold lock for Towns but Im not so confident now and I think Fla. has a fair to good chance to pick up this recruits commitment. I thought all along with him playing for Cal on the Dominican R. team and him coming to Lex. to practice that it was a foregone conclusion but now....... I dont think UK is out of the running but it isnt a lock like I once thought. He would bring a lot to the table with the ability to step out and hit shots from any range or play with his back to the basket and being 6'10 or 6'11 and being able to do all those things what a special player he will be and I hope its for UK.

  • Jerry Meyer and Brian Snow both say it's likely UK. Still a long time until he can sign but maybe he reclassifies

  • Surprised this isn't getting more action.

Very true, Towns should be top 5 talent in his class.

    BTW, why december 4th?

  • No clue, but many including Jerry Meyer say it's overwhelmingly probably UK, Also went on to say Towns Sr. would not rule out his son re-classifying to 2014 OR 2013. Don't think 2013 is possible, but just what the interview said.

  • Also, Chris, Matt, anyone...

What's the story? Is it between UK/Florida? Also, some rumors are he might want to reclassify.

All the media are saying Towns to UK. I don't recall him favoring UK that much. He even said Florida was his dream school.

    reclassifying to 2013 is absurd.

I mean, i would love to see it. Just hard to believe he can reclassify 2 classes, that's crazy.

I want him to go to the 2014 class, we don't need much help in 2013, but he's more than likely going to re-classify, so we'll see how it effects Trey Lyles, Cliff Alexander, and Jahlil Okafor.
