He did list #UK first on his tweet. Could it be a sign?

    Too much? Too soon?

The big question is would he red shirt. He has alot of backs in front of him at this point. Yes or No. ????

I would love to get him.

  • He's perfect for the new system. It won't surprise me if he doesn't play a ton this year. Our current backs haven't shown the ability to catch out of the backfield a whole lot. Perhaps that was scheme or coaching but it's going to be a fun spring and summer to see how things pan out for the fall.

  • I think Sanders is a better fit for this offense than the last one. He'll likely be really good. George has shown the ability to catch as well. Kemp will likely get some PT just don't know how much.

We haven't seen enough body of work from the other RBs.

Clemons will have a breakout year. The staff have already said good things about his conditioning. And that says a lot considering they didnt like most of the teams conditioning.

  • I love Clemons and he seems to fit the part, but I didn't include him b/c we haven't seen enough from his body of work to know how well he will do out of the backfield. We know he can run..........We've seen him catch a couple, but just how good are his hands?

I understand. I wasnt criticizing you at all just wanted to bring him up. If he can do well as a true freshman with Jokers product and coaching then I cant imagine what he can do wtih this staff and a full spring/summer/fall camp.

  • Clemons is a big question mark returning from injury.

  • Something that really makes me scratch my head is everyone is reporting that Timmons is telling coaches he wants to play RB in college. That creates a real cluster If we intend to take both. Both are great talents and we can't turn talent like this away, I just don't see how it could work IF that is the case.

  • Clemons will be fine.

6 months ago this was the case. But he actually practiced at full speed the last month of the season. if he makes it through spring practice he should be good to go.

I realize this. He still hasn't played football in quite a long time. He should be fine but he's a question mark nonetheless. Nobody knows how he'll hold up.

  • I'm anxious to see what Taylor and Mobley bring to the table.. Arguably, these 2 guys were better prospects than any of the others we have.. Mobley ran for over 3k yards his sr year and played in a tough 5a class and Taylor was commited to Bama at one time, so, you know he's gotta be able to play.. Not sure they're suited to catch alot of balls out of the backfield, but, not sure they aren't either.. I'd definately take a long look at these guys. They both have a little more size, as well, so, may could take the grind of an SEC season a little better than some of the others.. I just hope they don't make any preconceived notions and not give them a fair shake back there..

  • Whatever RBs give us the best chance of producing in this offense will play. I'm sure all will get the opportunity

  • At the pace these guys are going to play on offense we will need a lot of depth. Whether they are playing RB (F) or inside receiver (Y or H) Coach Brown will get the best players on the field as much as possible but everyone will need to raise their game.

TT averaged 76 plays per game on offense last year, UK 65. 11 plays per game might not seem like much but it adds up. Last year TT had 12 players catch at least 16 passes, UK had 7.

  • I honestly feel like we are stacked at the RB position. I know we don't have a clear cut guy who will shine, but in this offense, do you really need that guy? Sure it helps, but lets face it, this offense is designed to get guys the ball in open spaces. I think all of the guys on the current team can make some plays if given the chance.

We have seen what Sanders can do at times, he has shown flashes, when given some space, he can break a 20-30 yard gain.

Clemons was never given a real opportunity to get the ball in any spot other than 4 yards deep and told to run between the tackles. Very unfair to rate him based on what he has only been able to show so far.

I really like Kemp a lot....looks like a playmaker. But I honestly feel like a redshirt is in order and dont think that is to far fetched.
