Besides you just saying it, can you provide any evidence that he ran a 4.41 at uk last year?

If you watch the video it says on the opening screen. I cant find combine results from the junior day, but i have heard from many different people involved with Hopkins that it was laser timed and that timmons had the same time at the combine.

There are many athletes with that size and speed not heavily recruited ... Chris Johnson, derrick locke, danny woodhead, randle cobb, ... Just to name a few.

  • We'll see once he gets to college. If he has these measurables he wouldn't have gone unnoticed by every major program in the nation.

  • Locke, Woodhead and Cobb are/were not that big with that speed in HS.

    Well, LAW...247 has him at 6'1 - 185 - 4.45...Scout has him at 5'11" - 185...Rivals has him at 5'10" - 190. W/ most of there info being JR yr....So, Take your pick.

All I know is the kid ran a 4.41 at UK's camp this past summer...Had a phenomenal yr at Bourbon Co. (led them on another deep play-off run) & has shown himself to be a hell of a instate talent.

I guess what I am saying if we have a 4 star WR or Hopkins for the last spot who do we take? But hey, he had a great year, I just feel with what we have and what we are looking at, a scolly maybe hard to get at UK this year. Like the old saying goes, you can't take them all.

If it's a situation where it's a 4* WR...You take the 4* WR. But if the 4* leaves UK hanging...Hopkins is a solid fall-back Athlete option for that ride.

  • Recruit speed and quickness and forget stars and competition if you get kids from Kentucky. You can coach technique but not quickness. You can build strength but not speed.

If he is 6,1 and has such speed move him to wide receiver if he can catch the ball but dont ignore them because of location and who they played against. Not every kid in Kentucky can play at Trinity.
