Kentucky or Auburn?

Thats the whole problem here at UK the expectations. If everyone expects UK to win 6 or 7 games a year and go to a low level bowl then thats what you will get. I dont think Auburns expectations of beating Ala.+LSU every year is excessive. We should have the same ambition but until the AD and the rest of the administration puts up or shuts up when it comes to the quality of the facilities and the coaching staff then we will aspire to win enough games to go to a bottom of the rung bowl game. KY cant compete in the SEC until expectations are raised.

You know, I've been a Joker-needs-to-go-guy this year. I readily admit that. But I do not think that either Joker or Mitch only expect to win 6 games a year. I think Joker and Mitch want nothing less than to win an SEC championship. And if we were to do that, you would see the administration pay Joker accordingly. I think it is silly to imply that all this administration wants to do is win 6 games. Now, have we gone out and tried to make the big hire? Well, if you believe what has been said, then yes we have. Bill Parcells, Sean Peyton, and Norm Chow were all pretty big names. I think what we all (myself included) need to realize is that this has historically been a graveyard for football and it will not change overnight. Most all of these top coaches in the game today are not going to come here. Could we get lucky, yeah and we apparently almost did with the two I mentioned above. And sure we could make improvements to our facilities. Let's just let the rest of the year play out and see what happens. I've been as critical as any but lets see what we do these next few weeks. We are getting a couple of players back, mainly in Patrick Towles. Before we fire Joker, lets see what this kid can do. I have a feeling that this kid might be able to turn things around, kind of like Tim Couch did. This team is very young, and I think they are capable. If they can stay healthy the rest of the way, I realistically think they can win at least 3 of the 4 remaining games and if they do that, don't bet against them in the Tennessee game. This team is improving. And as I have said on other posts, if we get to 4 wins this year Joker will be back. It may not take 4 wins now from what I am hearing. We just have be competitiive and beat Samford. It's going to be an interesting last month of the year.
