  • Big game tomorrow night. Need a good showing. I think we've got a good chance to knock em off. They are in flux a little bit with the loss of Yeguette who is a leader for them. And we're coming on playing some of our best ball of the year. We should be up for this game ready to show what we've got. Gonna be an interesting game. I don't think we have to win but I do think we've gotta have a great showing and take them down to the wire.

  • Congrats to Nerlens he deserves it but how about some overall SEC awards. The week he had the 12 blocks he could have been the SEC player of the week not only the freshman of the week. Nerlens is building himself quite a portfolio for the draft and has shown improvement on the offensive end of the court.

I sure don't see the improvement on the offensive end you talk about. All he can do is dunk. He still is a monster on defense.

  • So you dont see the numerous jump hooks he has made right and left handed?

completely disagre...he shoots hooks with both hands now and his offensive rebounding is a lil better

  • Congrats to Nerlens on another award.

As for being back in Top 25 it was bound to happen sooner or later though I thought it would take 1 more week and us beating UF.

The improvement I see is his improved ability to hit those hook shots with either hand. He has really come on lately with that particular shot which takes as much skill to shoot as any other shot from the court. Now I admit he doesnt have any kind of jump shot like Davis had but he will develop that later on. He was further behind in his offensive abilities by quite a bit than Davis was when he started his career at UK. Davis was a guard 2 years before he ended up at KY and had better overall offensive skills b/c of that.
