I agree but I think they are really cool even if they are a knockoff of another teams helmet.

With UK's marketing department I wouldn't be shocked if they were.

You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig. Win some games first and then worry about fancy helmets. Nothing like trendy unis/helmets on a losing team.

You know what would be cool, it would be platinum helmet with blue power K, blue uniform, and platinum pants with blue shoes and gloves.

Those helmets are awful. They look like some of the crap Pitino used to put on the basketball team. You want an idea for a new helmet? Get a freakin black helmet to go with the black unis! That white helmet looks hideous with the black jersey. That white helmet looks like it has duct tape on it. And the other one, well, it's just ugly. I don't see how looking uglier than we play is going to help things.

I think some people miss the entire point of the flashy uniforms. It's a recruiting tool and God knows we need every recruiting advantage that we can muster. I'm all for having modern hip uniforms and helmets. If high school and college age kids think they're cool, then so do I.

Amen Jason....as a high school teacher and coach, this is the "swag" that the 17yo's like in this era. WE need to learn to like it.

BTW - Arkansas uni's when we played them were AWESOME - I can't for the life of me figure out why we don't use gray or silver with our blue - that would be bad ass!
