I hope we can get this kid, we need a back like this. He would fit Randy and Joker's system to a T. I also like it that we are the first to offer if he's a high character kid like everyone is saying that may mean alot to him. I just hope this doesn't end up like Lamar Dawson or worse Jon Davis's recruitment.

Agreed Alpha & Slinger. Joker "MUST" keep kids like this instate.

If Quick stays instate, which he won't, he will sign with UofLOL. Quick will not sign with UK, not happening.

Timmons on the other hand should be a kid this staff signs.

I can't help but think that Patrick Towles is playing a role in these WR commits. If they are basing their decision on our current QB situation, then, I don't expect much to brag about at that position. However, considering their future at UK with Towles at QB... that improves our chances of landing the level of talent, we might otherwise miss out on. IMHO. I may be giving him too much credit... but I'm sure all WR recruits consider who the QB is, before making their decision. These kids are smart and very aware of their potential in a given program... and their success depends, a great deal, on the talent around them.

Btw, I'm just talking about our WR possibilities in general... not necessarily in regard to
Ryan Timmons. However, I'm quite sure Timmons is completely aware of Towles.

I really hope this post wasn't insinuating that Lamar isn't a high character young man. People ripped this kid simply because he took advantage of a much better opportunity. How many of you would push your kid to pass up the opportunity he had?
He's a great young man and probably made the right decision regarding his future.

I don't think that's what he meant Tommy. It sounds like he just didn't separate his comments. To me it just sounded like he is saying that it seemed like we were so close to getting Dawson and Davis, but then it just didn't happen. Guys like Dawson, Davis, Quick, and Timmons mean more to a program like ours than other places. So we tend to feel much more impact when they decide to go elsewhere.

If I may interject, Timmons has visited for a few UK games and talked with Joker "at length." So interest is there, but I got the impression from his coach that he wants Ryan to wait it out and take the best offer on the table. His head coach is an Ohio State fan fwiw.

So, did Timmons and/or his family grow up UK fans? If they did then hopefully they will say FU€< Ohio State!!!!

Haven't talked to him personally. JD has actually talked to him. It sounds like there is more of a pull for UL in his camp, but he really likes Joker. And again, his head coach is pushing him to wait on the best offer it seems.
