Don't think that because Joker was just fired that a decision hadn't been already made. If you paid attention, people on this board even pointed out that a move may be made during the open week. If Mitch knew at the beginning of October that he was not going to bring Joker back, he still would not have said anything before now. You have to let things play out. While we all might not agree with everything MB has done, you can't just rush decisions like this.

Who is UT's #1 choice? I would expect Strong to be Arky's #1 choice but he may or may not leave Da Ville. I think he will but he may not. Smart is the hottest coordinator in the game, he's a defensive guy, and he's a great recruiter. He makes sense for SEC programs. He's a young up and comer who's been tutored by the best football mind in the game today. If you don't think he'll be highly sought after then I don't know what to tell ya. I agree that he may not be #1 on the list for either but I doubt both get their #1 guys. We shall see I guess. I sure as hell hope we end up with him. I think its gonna be a tough sell though.
