My one superstition is never predciting a UK football or basketball games. I will say though, that I feel like this year's UL game is even more pivotal than in previous years. I believe there are signs that the Cats have the ability to beat UL in the Pestilent Pizza Palace. If they do, I think it coud set the stage for Joker to turn things around with the disgruntled in the fanbase. If they lose though (especially if it's ugly), it could be a long season.
I don't believe the that the Ratbirds are nearly as formidable as some make them out to be (I don't believe they were last season either). I also don't think UL is as good as anyone the Cats will face in the SEC (with the possible exception of the Felonteers). IMO, that adds to he improtance of beating them. Hopefully they bust out of the tunnel motivated and prepared on Aug. 2nd and don't look back.
I hope they bust out of the tunnel motivated and prepared on aug 2nd too, but it can be hard to carry the excitement for 31 days.
But yes i agree, last year we took UL for granted, this year, we won't!
