The ladies got hammered tonight. Hopefully They can pull it together soon. Now isn't the time to be getting blown out.

Their only weakness came alive in a big way: bad shooting. If you can't make shots against the top dogs, you won't win.

they ran into a nightmare last night. UT had a huge chip after losing to UK in Lex, they made everything early and the Cats got into foul trouble early including Bria picking up two seemingly before she could break a sweat. I'm not sure what was wrong with Amber last night but she was really struggling especially early. The next game is huge to see how they bounce back from that.

Yes. They need to keep that one-game lead over UT. Two of their last four games are against two of the worst SEC teams, but the other two are against ranked teams, I believe.

There is a positive in that mess by the way. As a coach, you can not construct that kind of atmosphere, pressure, spotlight, etc. It's hard to be successful in that environment until you have experienced it (even if you were unsuccessfu initiallyl) so it could help them come tourney time.

Just have to wonder whether a beatdown like that this late in the season could affect their psyche heading into the tournament.

I wonder if they just didn't show up mentally. They got their win against UT in Lex and just didn't bother with it in Knoxville....just showed up beaten before they stepped on the court.

A buddy and I have made plans and arrangements to go to the men's SEC tournament, but we are also talking about going to the women's tournament as well.
We are (of we go) gonna make a road trip out of it. Im going to drive a Tahoe down and hit the town after games. If anyone else is thinking about going then shoot me a PM. Maybe we can paint the town blue together.
