Their talent just seems to be a year ahead, it may be that they have brought in so many early enrollies the past few years IDK, but I think if they played our schedule I think they would have alot better shot at getting 7 or 8 "W's" than we do. Their Off is good at every spot. Dominque Brown is a beast and his backup the Wright kid is also a good RB. Both have very good quickness especially the Wright kid and Brown runs harder than anyone we have, he looks like Miles Simpson at RB at 6'2 225#.
One thing I have to mention is how it seemed like their entire team was ripped, after talking to a couple guys I knew at the SG they told me that Strong said he doesn't place a ton of emphasis on guys adding 20-30# that he would rather have them add 5-10# a year so they don't loose their speed or quickness. Those same two guys both told me that Strong keeps very close tabs on these things too, if a kid gets "soft" or starts to add un-needed size they pay for it by doing extra work. As a result they always look to be in great condition.
Those guys also told me that there are talks the TB didn't throw a pick all the way through Spring. Parker, Michealee Harris, Andrell Smith and TB's new found playmaker Scott Radcliff can all run and catch. Radcliff had 9 or 10 catches and was very quick. He's going to give people fits because he catches everything thrown his way and is very quick.
On defense the biggest gap between the two teams is in their back 7. Their LB's and DB's all seem to be alittle more athletic that could be do to the fact that our guys are bigger. Their only big LB was their Sam backer the Brown kid the other 2 were just about 220 but could fly. Their De's are also very very athletic. None of the starters were even as big as Bud Dupree but they had great get off but should fit Strong's zone blitzing scheme very well. They do have one very big DE in BJ Butler at 6'2 270# but it seems he has lost his spot to a younger more athletic kid.
If some of you guys could have saw their SG you would see what i'm talking about. I dislike UofL as much as anyone but they are a talented team in a weak conf. UofL is already the favorites to win the BE. Their Off is very explosive, Dominque Brown and those WR's could all play SEC ball, it also doesn't hurt that they seem to have the best Soph QB in the country.

Ok Toddly, I have a serious question for you, who are you? Like what's your background? How old are you? I am asking because you seem to have come out of nowhere writing novel after novel second guessing coaches decisions (after the fact, for the most part), evaluating high school talent, and talking X's and O's as if you are a coach somewhere. Are you? I will take your opinion on things much more seriously (not that your worried about that) if I find out your not just another fan like us blowing smoke up our asses. I mean, if your going to act like an expert, produce some credentials buddy.

Not this year... I went to their spring game and they have much more talent on OFF and there back 7 on defense is more talented as well. Their DE's are everybit as good as ours and Philon is better than Cobble or Rumph but he's the only one that is that talented, other than him the rest the DT's are Coleman like (as a freshman), did I mention Joker and co didn't even offer Philon??? That's the dumbest move I think he's made along with not offering Canady, Bloofield, Harris kid from GA that wanted to committ. Sweat and Legree must be outrageously good, for Joker to offer them and not Harris because everyone is high on Harris saying he's going to surprise some people...
Just saying, but if some think we can win 7 games this year (and UofL is more talented than us) it's safe to say they could win more, because they are better... When i'm realistic I think we will win around 5 games maybe 6, and since UofL had the best true freshman qb in the country a group of talented WR's and a O-line that Strong done a fantastic job of developing last year I think UofL could win 7 to 8 games in the SEC.
I know that will piss alot off but I was at the spring game and they are talented, they have a little white kid at wr in the slot that's a stud along with Parker and a few others... We do have a chance of beating them but IMO they will be atleast 6-10 point favorites when we play.

I am curious to the thought process behind such a statement. Have you seen all the sophomore QBs in the country this Spring? Do you do talent evaluation for a living? How old are you? How long have you been watching football?
You can't just make statements that are so final without stating your qualifications to do so or atleast how you came to such decisions. I could pick every sentence of every post apart just as I am the one above, but I already have a job that I am getting paid for.
edit: You can question him without the snarky toddly nickname that is asking for a retaliatory post. cobbycobb

Bridgewater was freshmen all-american after last season, i.e. the best freshmen QB of 2011. Unfortunately he seemingly is what we were afraid a 5 star QB with offers from all the big-boys would develop into for UL. If UK can't get consistent pressure on him and lets him sit back and throw to ultra-talented receiving corp against our extremely inexperienced corners, it will be a looooooong day.

I literally laughed out loud at the "best freshman QB" and "best soph QB" comments.
Dude average like 150 YPG last season. Made huge mistake and huge mistake in their bowl game. Not to mention clock management reminiscent of the Vikings draft debacle a few years ago. Kid has physical talent no doubt but imo simply doesn't seem to have a high football IQ. Id be willing to bet that Agent Smith at the apparently vastly inferior UK team will have a better year stat wise. I think he (Maxwell) throws 20-25+ TDs.
Next, their "ultra talented WRs"....ummmmm really?...REALLY? When did that happen? Their team had 14 passing TDs from "the best soph QB" in the country. LaRod King, who was ripped all year for having a massive disappointment Jr campaign had half of that with 7 TDs, and he had next to no QB spinning the pill to him, not like this elite WR core at UofLOL with the nations best QB....so forgive me if I am a bit confused by your analysis or massive pile of hot steaming BS...whichever you prefer.
But what do I know right? I'm guessing after reading your breakdown I think its in the best interest of the program to forfeit that game to save starting the season with devastating humiliation that would probably be such a crushing and embarrassing loss that it would break the spirits of our players and result in a winless season. Obviously its much better not to show up and focus on the rest of the schedule.

However you want to look at it but as of right now UK football is the hot steaming pile of BS. You and I both know it. I went to their spring game and countless other "experts" thought the kid "TB" was good enough to be a ALL-American but yea he sucks, it's also impossible for him to improve or a bunch of fre, soph and JR WR's to improve as well. I never said they were great I said they were athletic and talented, big differnece. Heck none even dropped any passes that's better than ours already. I love UK but UK football is horrid right now especially at WR. Max isn't playing bad but he's ultra conservative, but I don't blame him since he's throwing to WR's that don't have any buisness playing SEC ball.
And you really want to brag on King like he's a number 1 WR... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA that's funnier than anything I said, he's not even a number 2 SEC WR let alone a number 1... LMAOAY!!!!But as far as your assholish tone I'll be at all the games, rooting our bad team on if you would like to chat, i'm really all for it.

Sorry if facts are an inconvenient thing that you deny. Bridgewater WAS named Frosh AA for 2011, you tell me Tommy, what other measure one could use to determine the best freshmen quarterback in the country? And what names would you list as being better? Probably a little early to crown him best Soph QB, I'd agree with that...but his spring game numbers were awfully concerning.
You'd better not bet very much Tommy on which QB will put up the better numbers, because you would likely lose. Need you be reminded of what schedule Bridgewater is going to be throwing against, and what Smith will be attempting to complete passes against? That is the entire subject of this thread after all.
