I'll tell you how they wasted his redshirt...The season is clearly over, after the 1-6 start....And he kid is not prepared to be a functional QB., w/ a system that has been changed 3 different times, so far this yr.

W/ Whitlow & Newton...UK looked competitive against UGA...And had Towles not played today (or rest of this wasted season), he could have received a med-redshirt, as well...Keeping seperation btwn the 3 soon to be soph QB's (Towles, Whitlow & Smith - who's likely to get his med-redshirt yr).

I don't agree with that from that players standpoint. The coaching has been subpar, yes.

True, but you cant come out and say he's week to week and he will be able to go. I think they were rushing him back because of how bad they all looked at Arkansas. I wish they would have left him on the bench. Darn, another TO and TD for Mizzou.

Beginning to think the kids have quit today. Starting to wonder if Samford will be favored.

More fuel for the fire...The indictments against this staff's decision making is as thick as a NYC phone book.

I feel like the kids are playing for themselves is why I feel maybe like they are quitting, I just don't see where these players believe in the coaches or the plan in front of them. At least in this game

Kentucky has 34 yards of offense on last 12 possessions today. Seriously.

I think some of that is Mizzou knowing that it's run, run, panic pass, punt....

Whatever the reason, there are NO excuses for that type of performance against that type of team. None.

It's the Hartline philosophy. Now, keep in mind I'm not bashing Hartline--the kid was great at UK--but it's that type of game planning where only short, obvious-down situations get a pass play called. We rarely look downfield anymore and when we do, it's thrown into 5 man coverage on a single WR.

There's a reason why our greatest success came when we played a'la Woodson and chucked that ball long down the field--stretching the field and creating single coverage situations on the outside.

Final boxscore:

Missouri had 10-11 guys within 5-6 yds of the LoS at times in the 2nd half and Whitlow could not hurt them. If he can't be a more consistent passer, the coach whoever he is come spring practice, needs to work him @ WR and install a Wildcat package for him. A primarily running QB will not cut it in the SEC.
