    Where in the blue blazes did you interpret that as wanting to keep Joker. If you had followed our conversation from the beginning you would have seen that we were advocating making a coaching change NOW......make that yesterday! For the love of Pete, keep up.

    If some kind of an announcement or move isn't made by Monday, UK fans should march to Capilouto's office and hold a protest instead of going to the UGa game to show their disgust and displeassure.. I'd be there.

  • If you actually we able to poll the entire UK fanbase and asked if you respect Joker Phillips the man UK player assistant and coordinator, I think the results would be overwhelmingly in his favor. It's nver really been about whetehr Joker is a good guy or is he beloved. It;s about whether he is a SEC coach - and that one has to be a resounding NO. It's a shame though, because it would have really stabilized the program had he succeeded. This program can not afford another year of hoping he can show signs of competence in that role.

  • They currently have the worst class in the entire SEC with only 2 or 3 kids capable of getting snaps for any other SEC program. Is it really that big of a loss if we lose subpar players? Hell no.

    Not talkin about a petition and I'm not talking about doing it because we want Joker fired - make it about more support for the program in general. I'm talking about something to show that 1) we do care about football and 2) we will not stand for the same ol', same ol'. Skip the game and gather on cammpus - embarrass Mtch and mr. prez.

    UK fans always talk about how the University doesn't care about football, but what about the fans? Even if it does no good, why not do something to show your anger and vent your frustration?

  • The worst of things coming in now and it's pretty unsettling. You can hear the wind roaring through stadium. Debris being blown everywhere. Raining so hard you can't see top of stadium.

  • You know I've heard UK first fans talk about how unfair the administration is to football and how they don't promote it.
    I've also even heard them say that Kentucky is a football state if only UK would support the program they would see it. I've heard kll kind of talk about it, but other than go to the games and get drunk, I've seen very little to prove it.

    I been to every spring game since 2001 and even after the best seasons, we have to struggle to get 5K people. Last night, 24K showed up for a basketball practice. I've gone out several for football coach's shows at restaurants and been the only fan there for the show.

    Well I'm sick of it. I'm sick of the administartion/athletic department doing nothing and I'm sick of the fans bitchin' but not doing anything about it. If there is no movement or announcement by Monday, I will be on campus come next Saturday and I will hold a protest whether anyone else is there or not. I don't care how futile it is and i don't expect to change things even a little it. it would take a couple of thousand fans minimum to embarrass the powers-that-be as it should.

    I'm gonna be there though because I'm sick of watching crap like this, I'm sick of being an SEC laughinstock, I'm sick of football being ignored and I'm sick of UK "football fans" running their mouths about how mad they are about football's status, but not once getting off the couch to try and do something about it.

  • Anyone who watches a press conference knows that Joker is not a good spokesman for our program. Sure he is a UK guy. . but that is overplayed. Who knows if he is a good person, I don't know him personally nor would I guess that most posters do either.

    Anything other than a coaching change shows complete disrespect for all things UK. Everything that has happened has been on his watch, even going back to the Brooks years.

    Problem is that not only as fans do we suffer, but other sports do as well. Even the University.

    No way Joker is back.

  • I'd be shocked if anything is done before the end of the year. I'd be amazed if a fan boycott had any success either. Commonwealth would be tough to make it look like the Miami field from a couple weeks back. There is more to do there than here. Maybe when basketball season starts it'd work but it wouldn't matter as much then. Ultimately we can all bitch about it but that's about it.

  • Called 49-7 after two and a half quarters. With good weather this could have been an SEC and NCAA record beat down in score and yardage. Just absolutely pitiful.
