Polson played all those minutes and I dont think he had any TOs. What a game he played. MVP OF THE GAME, although Wiltjer had a good offensive game.

Maryland coach Mark Turgeon:
**We weren't very good in the first half. Kentucky played great. We shot wild, couldn't find Wiltjer. We really guarded in the second half. Came down to hustle plays. Kentucky is defending national champion. A lot of pride. Got three loose balls late. That was the whole difference.
**We weren't ready for the big stage. The first half it was pretty obvious. That's why we played this game.
**They really couldn't score against our set defense.

**The last play, that's obviously not what I drew up. He wasn't supposed to shoot over a 7-footer. I had a guy open right in front of me for a 3.
**We couldn't get to Julius Mays (in first half) coming off all those screens.
**Turgeon on Polson: 'He subbed at the table and I said, 'Who's that?' He hadn't played.' He was the whole key to the game. I don't even know what year he is.'

**Was really pleased with how they started but the freshmen factor is obvious. (Maryland) set NCAA record for offensive rebounds. I don't think they really even ran a play, just throw it and go get it.
