Look, anything can happen, but...

  • Could you ask for a better scenario? Not only do we get the chance to have an epic final 4 game against UL, but we get the chance to do it in a year where we are far and away the best team in the country, while it's questionable they even belong. Don't get me wrong, they stepped up their game and earned it, but UL has not beaten more than a couple really good teams all year. Syracuse and Florida are their best wins. As ong as we play are game, we win. That's it. All our boyz gotta do is want it bad enough, and something tells me Gilly, and Davis, and Jones, and Miller and Lamb want it pretty damn bad!

  • They didnt beat syracuse i dont think.

  • It's high risk high reward. If we win it's beautiful. If we lose UL fans will hang this one over UK for decades. Forever. UL fans will be insufferable. I love our chances but losing would be a catatstrophe. I can't even imagine being a UK fan living in Louisville if that happened.

It's a good to great situation for the 'Cats. If they play their game, and good defense, we should be playing in the title game. Just my $.02

I've been saying this the ENTIRE tournament. Play your game (in my best Kurt Russel playing Herb Brooks voice). If the Cats play their game, they'll win handily. If they have the WV or UCONN stage fright in the spotlight game, then it could be trouble. Bottom line is UL has to have EVERYTHING break their way and STILL hope that UK is having an off night to win. That's how large I think the talent disparity is. Can it happen?? Sure anything can happen but the odds are definitely on the Cats side.

I'd say Teague and the rest of the team wants it pretty damn bad too.

I think they're good. They've had the big stage spotlight many times this season and lost once. I don't consider IU the big stage because at that point who truly believed outside of the IU faithful? Nobody.

Yeah, sorry. I was thinking of Cincinasti beating them I guess. Same difference.

  • We should have someone literally in Russ Smiths face anytime he's beyond the 3 point line. Don't even let him breathe out there.

Just imagine that it could never happen, then you won't worry about it being a high risk.

Russ Smith will have a defender living under his chin. No doubt in my mind.

If Russ Smith doesn't get 20 they have no shot. They aren't going to be able to score enough to hang with us.

  • Their bread and butter is Siva driving and taking a shot or kicking it out. With UK's length and athleticism I just don't see how that can be consistenly successful. I think UL will press, try to do unexpected things, muck it up, and throw everything at us hoping something will stick.

Agree with that. He had 30 in the first game and we played terrible and still got the W. Slow him down and we win easily I think.
