I'm a little confused as to how that adds up to $11M ...

$2 million in 2013, $2.1 in 2014, $2.2 in 2015, $2.3 in 2016, $2.4 in 2017 = $11 million

I don't see anything upon first glance that has contractual reference to facility upgrades

Some of those incentives don't seem like much to me. $100K for 5 SEC wins. 5 wins should be worth at least $250K. How long has it been since we won 5 SEC games anyway.
$50K for SEC COY and $75K for NCOY. Just doesn't seem like that much to me.

Apparantly it is enough for Stoops. That is, he agreed to those terms. He may be worth more, but apparantly winning to him is more important than the money.

Clarification on the SEC wins, each win - starting with the second one - is worth $100,000. Once they reach five SEC wins he gets an additional $100,000. So basically, total compensation for those marks would be:

2 SEC wins = $100,000
3 = $200,000
4 = $300,000
5 = $500,000
6 = $600,000
7 = $700,000
8 = $800,000

So no bonus for a BCS bowl or is that taken into acct with the SEC Champ bonus?

You know, you're probably right Carl. That's probably how it was addressed in the contract discussions. Usually that is what happens, new contract gets negotiated with an extension and a substantial raise. Never even thought of that aspect of the situation.

Interesting contract...going to be murder keeping up with his salary for all of us.

If I read that right...if he wins the SEC title by going 8-0 in conference he would receive $1.1M in additional compensation. I'd say that's fair.

Its like this IF STOOPS GOES TO THE NAT TITLE GAME HE WILL HAVE HIS CONTRACT CHANGED PERIOD. His pay would be raised a ton lol lol lol lol lol UK could not pay him what USC or Texas could lol.
